On a scale of 1-10 where 10 is the most, how concerned are you about running out of ideas? I've posted a poll.
For me it's a 10.

For me it's a 3. I sometimes get stuck but I always get unstuck eventually. My bigger problem is being able to produce fast enough because I tend to hit dead ends and have to backtrack.

Right now, it's about a 1 for me. I've been working with the same characters for almost twenty-one years, and I haven't run out of ideas for them yet. Every so often, I get to a point in my series where I'm not sure what my next book should be about. This has happened maybe three times in all of the years I've been writing my series. My characters usually solve the problem for me though. By the end of whatever book I'm writing, they usually take me in some sort of direction that either breeds new storylines or calls for a continuation of a storyline that occurred in the book. For instance, at the end of the book I am currently editing, an ex-husband decides to move in with his ex-wife so that he can help her while she is being treated for cancer. The book ends with their daughters wondering how that's going to go. And with that thought, those characters will be carrying me into my next new book, which will be called Worlds Collide.

A 5. I don't often run out of ideas. More often I run out of motivation to update lol
