Chanel has ordered champagne at Julie's Place. She tells Xander that after they get the $10 million from Paulina, they can afford it. Xander says he could have swiped it from behind the counter. Chanel says they don't have to slum it anymore. Xander says if we play our cards right... Paulina shows up and asks what they meant.
Xander says that they want to talk about ending this marriage. They all sit down. Xander asks for $10 million. Paulina laughs hysterically. No way in hell.
Xander goes down. 9 million? 8? 7? Paulina says let me save you some time. I am not paying you any millions. Chanel plays up how awful Xander is and how she has to get out of this marriage. Paulina says she does not have 10 million lying around. Xander says but you're a real estate mogul with lots of money. Paulina says that she didn't get that way by giving bags of money to every scam artist she ran across. It's not her fault that Chanel was too lazy to get a job and married a penniless loser to support her instead of a sugar daddy.
Chanel and Xander keep begging. Xander finally says 1 million, final offer. Paulina says fine and writes a check.
Xander is gloating til he looks at the check. He says Paulina made a mistake and left off a zero. Paulina says she never makes mistakes. $100,000 is all he is getting. Buy champagne or whatever else with it, just take it and go away. Xander decides he'll take it. Chanel blurts out but that's only 50k each! Paulina says EACH??? EXCUSE ME???

Thank goodness Chanel has been exposed. I laughed at how low Xander was willing to go with his blackmail amount. I think he did pretty well at $100,000.

I was kind of hoping that Paulina had written a check for $1. LOL
These scenes were surprisingly fun, considering I don't enjoy the evil version of Xander and can't stand Chanel.

I’m also glad that Paulina didn’t give in to their demands. I think she should just let Chanel deal with the problem she created. I do wish she hadn’t given them any money at all.
I don’t understand why they keep acting like it’s so difficult to end this marriage. They ought to be able to get it annulled with no issue considering Xander was drunk out of his mind, the fraud, the lack of consummation, short time.
It’s silly but kind of funny.

They ought to be able to get it annulled with no issue considering Xander was drunk out of his mind, the fraud, the lack of consummation, short time. Right? If I were Paulina, I would have told Chanel to go file the papers for an annulment or divorce. Xander can't "refuse to give her" a divorce under these circumstances (I'm not sure he can under any circumstances -- wouldn't it be up to him to contest it if she filed it and he wasn't happy?). If anything, Paulina should have just told her to give her the annulment paperwork when it was done and she would pay any filing fee when she turned it in at the court. |

When Paulina offered the $100,00 and Xander was balking, I thought he wouldn't take the check but I was glad when he finally did. But then Chanel ruined it, no surprise there. Fun scenes though.
