Lucas goes to see Chloe. He tells her Brady is a fool not to see how special she is. She deserves someone who will put her first.... like him.
Chloe isn't really interested. Lucas left her before to go to Italy. He says that's because of Allie. Chloe doesn't know. She hasn't seen him in forever and all of a sudden he wants her back? Besides, she isn't over Brady. Lucas admits he has an ulterior motive... then blurts out he's dying.
Lucas makes up a story about how he has a brain tumor and it's inoperable. He's going to get a second opinion but he could be dying and he doesn't want to die alone. Chloe asks if his family knows. He doesn't want them to know because Will and Sonny are so happy and Allie has her own stuff going on so he doesn't want his family to pity him. So he hopes Chloe won't tell them.
Chloe agrees but says she doesn't understand. She thought he didn't want to die alone? He says he meant without love in his life. He loves her and regrets that he let her go.
Chloe says they can't be romantic partners but she will take Lucas to treatment or be there for him any way she can.
He says he will go let her process and hugs her, saying Brady doesn't know what he's missing.
Lucas goes. In the corridor he asks himself what the hell he just did. Sami calls and asks did he profess his undying love? he says not exactly undying...
Meanwhile, Chloe looks up brain tumor treatments and looks sad.

I'm seriously ashamed of Lucas -- and DAYS' writers -- for making light of a cancer diagnosis. Chloe is a cancer survivor. Lucas's mother is a cancer survivor. How dare he pretend to have a brain tumor in order to get close to Chloe.

I'm seriously ashamed of Lucas -- and DAYS' writers -- for making light of a cancer diagnosis. Chloe is a cancer survivor. Lucas's mother is a cancer survivor. How dare he pretend to have a brain tumor in order to get close to Chloe. You'll love my column tomorrow! I just finished writing a lengthy rant about this very point. Chloe having survived leukemia is going to make her go all out to try to get Lucas help for his supposed brain tumor. What an awful thing to do to her. |

Um didn’t chad do the exact same thing once upon a time?
I feel like the writers just go through old stories and pick out the worst of the worst and decide that those are the ones to recycle

I just think the whole story is so stupid. This whole thing just keeps getting dumber. I can’t believe Chloe believes he is dying and really wants to hide it from everyone but her.
Lucas and Sami know how to scheme. Why don’t they just figure out how to beat Kristen at her own game and dispense with this nonsense?
