Rafe is crossing all the suspects off his board. Trask shows up. She just told Abe they'd have an arrest soon, but Rafe has no suspects. This is not acceptable, especially as all the suspects are related to him. Rafe insists he's conducting an impartial investigation and these people are all innocent.
Trask is skeptical. He got his ex off. Yeah, cause she's innocent. Trask complains that Sami lied to police and tampered with evidence and should be in jail. Rafe doesn't want to waste time with that when there's a murderer on the loose.
Trask focuses in on Allie. She doesn't agree that Allie is innocent. Allie stole a gun and went to Charlie's so how could she not have shot him? She wants Allie brought back in. Rafe says he has always known when Allie is lying since she was three years old. And Allie thought Sami did it so obviously Allie didn't do it.
Trask moves on to Ava. No, Ava had no reason to tell Rafe that she was worried Tripp did it if she did it herself. Trask doesn't think that Tripp claiming he never entered the apartment proves anything. Rafe tells Trask it's innocent til proven guilty, not the other way around. Trask is offended.
Rafe manages to convince Trask his suspects are all innocent. Okay, then that means a fifth person entered the apartment. Who was it?
Rafe shows Trask the button he found. She says it looks like it's from an expensive coat, and not to be stereotypical but she doubts a man would wear a coat like that. So that eliminates Tripp, and none of the female suspects have a coat like that.

Trask wants a conviction so badly that she's willing to arrest anyone if it means getting what she wants: a closed case never mind the fact that people could be innocent

This felt like filler, rehashing the whole thing for a whole episode. And Trask threatening Rafe is completely out of line. He should record the conversation and play it for the Mayor.

I have to give Trask some credit here. Rafe crossing people's names off the list because he believed them when they told him they didn't do it isn't exactly the best police work.
