Gabi enters Philip's office and insists Philip stop what he’s doing to look at her report. He wants to first talk about what happened the other night. He asks if she was just trying to tick off his mom. Was the kiss just about getting Jake hot under the collar. She says she doesn’t care about Jake. He wants to celebrate the fact that the storefront is still available by going out to dinner tonight. Gabi wants to know if it’s business or a date. Gabi is reluctant to mix business with pleasure. Philip asks if she’s just not interested in him, or still hung up on Jake.

She swears she’s not still hung up on Jake, but she’s not used to getting dumped and is having a hard time with that. She wants to get past this. He advises her that the best way to get past an old relationship is to start a new one. She thinks he wasn’t too subtle and they are age appropriate. She wonders what they have in common. He says they’ve both been rejected by their exes recently. He thought he was going to get a second chance with Chloe, or third or fourth but who's counting. That's in the past, he wants to move forward now.

She feels like dinner is too much pressure. She suggests lunch instead, but no business talk. They head out.

In the Square, while Gabi is reading her texts, Philip buys her some flowers off a cart. She thanks him. Jake comes by and asks if they’re trying to get the retail space back. Gabi links arms with Philip and tells Jake it will have to wait until after their date.

It blows me away that someone with Philip's assets would have to convince any woman to go out with him.

Those scenes were meh, i dont see anything much going on.

Obvious gabi wants jake, jake wants gabi and philip is just going with it . I feel bad for jabriela fans , i dont know how long they plan to tease them like this

philip, hell always go back to chloe third fourth fifth ...forever.

I'm glad they had the "talk" about exes and what their motivations are. Both Philip and Gabi are nursing broken hearts, and if they can find some friendship and comfort in each other, then why not? I'm curious to see where this leads (even while holding onto hope of some Phloe or Jabi reunion).

Why don't they just bring back someone for Philip? I don't get it...like why not bring back another one of his exes like Stephanie or Melanie to put with Philip?

Or better yet bring back Mimi Lockhart, the mother of Philip's niece Emily and the mother of Philip's son Pocket, and put Mimi with Philip

I'm at least glad that philip is trying to move on, rather than the usual in the past, chasing after chloe and trying to convince her to take him back, shows a little maturity imo.

I can’t tell which way this is going to go. It seems right now that they are both trying to move on but they aren’t really over their past loves - especially Gabi. It could be that Jake will get jealous and want Gabi back but I can also see Gabi and Philip actually falling for each other.

I liked how Philip said he and Gabi were age-appropriate, presumably to discourage any potential negative comments about their ages.

It bothered me that Gabi immediately resorted to "using" Philip by flaunting their date in front of Jake. I don't think Philip was pleased with that.

Gabi seems more like will and sonny's age, so not all that age appropriate to me, will was a toddler when philip was a 16 yr old teenager. Also seems to me philip has to come in this sl, just to also give kake something to do.
