Abby comes over to the Horton House. (For some reason, Jack appears to be sitting in the dark and it stays that way throughout these scenes.)
Abby asks Jack what's wrong. Is Mom okay? Jack says Jennifer is fine but is taking longer in Boston to settle Laura's estate than she thought she would. Abby says she's glad Jennifer has Uncle Mike. Anyway, why did Jack call her?
Jack tries to talk to her about kidnapping Gwen. Abby rants that Gwen killed Laura and that the truth is she would have confessed to doing it on purpose if Gabi hadn't interfered. Jack tells her to calm down. Abby can't because the person who helped her calm down is Laura and she's dead. Jack says he wants to help. He wants to make peace between Gwen and Abby.
Abby isn't having it. In her opinion, Gwen is lying about Laura's death being an accident and killed her on purpose. Jack thinks otherwise. He saw how upset Gwen was when she called him after the incident. Abby thinks Gwen is fooling Jack again. Is there nothing Gwen can do to make Jack disown her? Jack says would you disown Thomas or Charlotte for any reason? Abby says that's different. They are not psychopaths.
Eventually, Jack tells Abby how he hated Steve at first when he learned they were brothers. As far as he was concerned, Steve was the man who stole Kayla from him. But eventually he had to accept that Kayla loved Steve. Abby asks how Jack and Steve got past it. Jack says a lot of years, a lot of pain, a lot of anger. But it worked out in the end and now they're best friends. Abby doubts she and Gwen will ever be friends but she is willing to make peace with her.

I don't even care what happens in this story, but as long as they can get Abigail to stop screeching about Gwen, I'll be happier. Ciara is doing enough screeching for all of Salem right now.
But I couldn't help but think that with Abigail’s mental health history, perhaps she shouldn’t be throwing around the words crazy and psychopath so loosely.
