In the park, Chanel tells Xander he's a stranger. He introduces himself. She introduces herself as Chanel DuPree (I think).

Xander gives Chanel the bottle, but she is hygiene conscious and would rather drink out of a glass. They head to Xander's hotel room.

In the room, Chanel finds the kilt on the floor. If this belongs to a woman who won't be happy to see her here, she's out. Xander says it's his. Chanel asks if she should have asked for his pronouns. Xander says it's not a skirt, it's a kilt, and he was supposed to wear it on his wedding day but his bride left him. He drinks more.

Chanel offers to talk. Xander wants to just drink. Chanel thinks he should slow down. She has an idea. She can go to Paulina's room and grab some of the leftovers from what Paulina offered and bring it back. Xander doesn't want her to leave. He doesn't want to drink alone.

Chanel says Xander needs to slow it down with the drinking. Her life is falling apart but she's not drinking like this. Xander asks what's wrong. She says her mom cut off her credit cards and wants her to get a job. Xander says oh boo hoo what a tragedy. He gives her his wallet and says if it's credit cards you need, problem solved.

Xander has to use the bathroom. He tells Chanel to order another bottle while he's gone. He goes and Chanel decides to help herself to some of his cash as a tip. She is shocked by how much he has in his wallet, and is wowed when she finds his Titan ID card saying he is a CEO.

I don't understand why he brought her back to his room. And also why would he give her his wallet after hearing her story and NOT expect his cash to disappear. She's an entitled, lowlife opportunist and he's an idiot.

I’m not bothered by him handing over the wallet
I feel like that was to illustrate how heart broken he actually is that he simply doesn’t care
I am bothered that he brought her back to his room I know he’s wasted but that’s super creepy
And she’s dumb for following him..... like Kate Mansi Abigail dumb
That’s a special kind of stupid
Glad we didn’t have to witness her and Theo together onscreen

I wish Chanel HAD tried to get Paulina to give her leftover food for Xander. The dressing down Paulina would have given Chanel would have been worth it.

I think Xander gave Chanel his wallet because he thinks her dilemma is stupid and insignificant. It was a way of saying, "Stop whining about your nonsense. Here's a bunch of credit cards that I don't give a damn about."

Plus he was drunk and likely wouldn't have done it sober, so there's that.

I just hope we don't get a fake rape story out of this. DAYS does sexual assault stories so poorly as it is and I wouldn't put it past them to have Chanel cry rape when nothing happened... in the middle of sexual assault awareness month.

I was hoping when she found out he was the CEO of Titan that she might try to get a job. I guess that’s too boring. 😉
