Ben returns home and looks through the trinkets he brought to Ciara to jog her memory. One of the books is missing. He opens the other book and remembers a fantasy of him rescuing her. He seems to know she is having the same memory.
Ben shows up at the penthouse and Marlena goes out into the hallway to talk to him. He asks if she heard from Ciara, because he has. He tells her about his dream/memory. Marlena advises Ben not to go back to see Ciara again. She believes their metaphysical connection is real and lasting. Ben thanks Marlena for her support. He’s about to go when Marlena gets a call from Shawn saying Ciara has agreed to go through with the hypnosis. Ben hugs Marlena.
