Tripp comes to Allie's. She says Henry has finally fallen asleep. Tripp offers to watch Henry while Allie takes a nap herself. If the baby wakes up he can take care of him. Allie can't sleep because she's worried about Sami.
Tripp thinks Rafe believing Sami is a good sign, but Allie is worried about Trask and also that Lucas may not be telling her how bad it is to protect her feelings. Tripp says it's a good thing she has a teething baby to distract her. Allie admits she feels like she's not doing a good job with this. Nothing calms Henry right now and she's sure he feels her frustration and it's making it worse. Tripp thinks Allie is a great mom. Allie says she can't believe he's being so nice to her after what she did to him. Tripp has forgiven her for that. He says they both need to stop blaming themselves for things Charlie made them do.
Allie asks Tripp what he means. He never did anything to Charlie. Tripp says nothing concrete. But he can't stop thinking about how Kayla took him in and Nicole took Allie and Henry in, but Charlie never had anyone like that. Allie says that is not Tripp's fault. Tripp had every reason to hate Charlie's guts and should not feel guilty about it.
Tripp says he came to help, not to make Allie listen to him whining. Allie says she understands the situation is complicated. Charlie was a terrible person who hurt her but he was also Tripp's brother and even though Tripp hated him losing him must hurt, and it must be hard for him to watch Ava grieving for her son.
Tripp is amazed that Allie is being so empathetic when she's so worried about her own mom. Allie is glad to be with someone who cares as much as she does about the truth coming out.
Tripp asks Allie, so Rafe will never give up? Allie says Rafe not only wants to know who does it, but be able to prove it in a court of law. Nothing is more important to Rafe than justice. Tripp says there's something he needs to tell her.

I could get behind these two as a couple. The build-up is good, and the fact he is related to her son and loves Henry is a bonus.
