Well, they are the protagonists, so both, one or the other will be in each chapter. Every story within Being revolves around them and affects them. When I start writing again, that won't change, trust me.

Does anyone know if Nicole and Chloe ever talked about Brady on the show? The fact they both loved him etc...now that they are friends? I just wrote something like this for my story and I was curious if the show ever went there,

I believe they did, they at least spoke about Chloe faking her death and all that nutty stuff.

Just wondering...to all of you that write...when you compose your stories...are you thinking about them like a soap/tv show and each chapter is an episode? Or do you think about your stories like a novel?
I always thought of my stuff like a novel. Although posting here with everyone talking about next episodes and scenes etc...my mind is getting all discombobulated. LOL

I don't think in terms of episodes, per se, but I do think in terms of scenes and commercial breaks. I start on Monday and try to have a big cliffhanger on Friday. I mean, I guess they sort of end up like episodes, but I'm only showing the scenes that have to do with the main storyline.
For example, I'll focus on Rafe/Carrie, but Philip/Chloe may be going on in other scenes. If you put kptach's story (show) together with my story (show) I think they would match up pretty well and could make a nice show. Sort of like the community fanfic we all wrote together a while ago. It switched back and forth between storylines (like the show does). Does that make sense?

As I sit in my house on this beautiful summer like day, working on my story instead of spending time outside like everyone else, I started thinking- scary, yes. I was wondering about the processes of other writers out there. Do you create a plan, like an outline or story board of your stories before you write them? Do you have an end in mind- where you want to end up or do you just let the characters carry you? I'm bad at planning. I tend to just sit and write, flying by the seat of my pants. It's starting to cause me headaches, though, as I have had to go back and change a lot of things as I change my mind about various things. I also have no end in sight. But that's my problem

Hey SJW, I moved your post because we were having that very discussion a few months ago, so you can find some answers here.
Newer members who are authors, please feel free to add your responses to SJW's questions.

The best was when he was on North Shore...nicely cut. But the man is not 27 anymore. LOL
He did look like he worked out a lot in 2009...when he was busy in bed with Stephanie, topless fighting Owen, and making sex tapes with Melanie. I guess he needed to pump iron for all that.

LOL I guess I see that whole time as one long storyline until it shifts at the end of 2009 and focuses on Melanie finding her parents, the phloe cheating, and the marriage. I guess I don't divide it in my mind...it is all just Philip to me...growing up and finding himself...starting from late 2007 when he finally let go of Belle. (Ironically I have been watching a lot of clips during the "phinie era" as you call it. My next story (down the line) will feature Philip and Stephanie...trying to get some inspiration.)But anywhoo....yes he looked very good while he was dating Stephanie. He also looked good to me when he was pursuing Belle, friends with benefits with Chloe, married to Mel.....the man just looks good to me. ;D

I consider the Phinie era around December '08 to September '09. Philip was my favorite male character and Stephanie was my favorite female character, and Jay and Shelley were my favorite actor and actress on the show so it was just an epic pairing for me. It was something that I wanted to say happen for a long time, but never thought it would so I was beyond excited when it happened, and utterly disappointed when it ended. In my opinion the writers never tapped in to the potential of the pairing or the chemistry between Jay and Shelley, but I do enjoy the little that I got. What type of story are you planning on writing that will feature Philip and Stephanie? It is funny you mentioned that just the other day I shared with jkjpatch an I idea I have been working on for a Phinie fan fic. If you would like I will share my ideas with you although let me warn you, you will probably not like my ideas because I know you are a Phelanie fan and my story is a Phinie love story and it kind of erases both Phelanie and Stathan.

Wow a Stephanie fan! I have met so few of those. I always get flack for my defense of Stephanie. I like her...even more when she brought out her bad girl. I am a Philip fan first and foremost. I have enjoyed all of his pairings except Morgan - and even Philip and Morgan had moments I liked. (You should PM me about your fic and I can tell you about mine - so we don't take this lovely Jay thread off topic too much.) I say you should write your story though...erase what you want...that is what fanfic is for. I am so jealous of people who can erase stuff that happened on the show. I don't write like that, so I endure characters I hate in my stories.. If I had my way Nathan would be erased from my mind completely.

Wow, I had no idea you were a Stephanie fan I also enjoyed her bad girl side I just hated that Nathan was the motivation that brought it out. I always new she had it in her, I just wish she would have used it to fight for Philip not Nathan. Unlike Nathan I actually think Philip would have been a little turned on by it. I will definately P.M. you my ideas, and I look forward to reading yours. As far as erasing stuff my fan fic is not so much about erasing stuff, but it just offers more of a what if perspective. My story takes place in the summer of 2009 when Philip made the decision to leave Titan and goes off to look for Stephanie and he catches her with Nathan in the park that night. My story basically explores what would have happened had Stephanie given Philip the opportunity to explain himself after he beat the crap out of Nathan instead of just running off. So obviously certain things get erased like Phelanie sex tape, but the purpose of my fan fic was just to offer and alternative version of the story for Phinie fans who were unhappy with how things played out.

Well I think they were pulling out Stephanie's bad side so they could re-explore her with Philip again down the line. Sort of how they had to make Brady grayer so he could plausibly deal with Nicole. The good girl with the "bad boy" (Or vice versa) type story only can play out once per couple, then something has to give. Nathan was the good boy so they had to bring out the bad side with Stephanie for it to work. Theoretically after the break of Sathan...Philip and Stephanie would be better suited to deal with each other.
What ifs are always fun...great jumping off point. I am basically doing a "what if" now...my version of 2011 if Philip had stuck around.
