RAFE: Sami! What are you doing here?
SAMI: (Smiling) I came to take you to lunch.
RAFE: (Looks back towards his office) Well, I’m sorta busy at the moment.
SAMI: Too bad. You need to eat, and I’m here to make sure that you do. Come on. Let’s go.
RAFE: Um…. Ok. Just let me tell Carrie I’m leaving. (Goes back to his office. Carrie is sitting on his desk with her head in her hands.) Hey, you ok?
CARRIE: (Looks up) Me? Oh, I’m just dandy. I heard Sami say she’s taking you to lunch. You should go.
RAFE: I can tell her we’re too busy….
CARRIE: (Looks down at her hands) No. Really. You should go.
RAFE: But…..
CARRIE: No. Just go.
RAFE: (Resigned) Ok. (Leaves with Sami)
Carrie hangs her head in her hands and tries to hold it together. As the tears begin to fall, the phone rings.
CARRIE: (With only a slight quiver) Hello?
MALE VOICE: Hello? Carrafe Investigations?
CARRIE: (Clears her throat) Yes, how can I help you?
MALE VOICE: I’m looking for Rafe Hernandez.
CARRIE: I’m sorry, but he just stepped out for lunch. I’m his partner though. Can I help you?
MALE VOICE: Sure. I’m Special Agent Gary Porter.
CARRIE: (Confused) Ok. Special Agent? As in FBI?
GARY: Yes, as in FBI. Rafe and I were friends way back in the day and I need to meet with him.
CARRIE: Ok. When? Where?
GARY: I need him to go to Chicago and meet me at Wrigley Field at 4pm tomorrow.
CARRIE: Wrigley Field? Why Wrigley Field?
GARY: He’ll know why. Just please say you’ll give him the message.
CARRIE: Ok. I’ll tell him. Is there a number...(Click)..or not. (Dials Rafe’s cell phone) Hey. Can you talk?
RAFE: Yeah, Sami just went to the bathroom. What’s up?
CARRIE: I just got a call from a Special Agent Gary Porter.
RAFE: (Brightly) Gary? What’s he up to?
CARRIE: He says he needs you to meet him at Wrigley Field tomorrow afternoon.
RAFE: (Quietly) He said that?
CARRIE: Yeah. Rafe, what is this about?
RAFE: If he wants me to meet him at Wrigley, it can only be for one reason.
CARRIE: What is it?
RAFE: Emily.
