Whenever I go to SoapOperaDigest.com, a popup comes up that wants me to click okay to enter some contest or other. There is no other option, except okay. No way to close the dialog box or cancel out of it. I always end up force-quitting my browser because I'll be darned if I'm going to click some promotion that's being forced on me.
Just now, I was in the middle of posting something here and I went to SOD to verify some information and I got the popup box. Grrr.

I do know hubby's firefox has options to click out things that I don't get on Chrome. I am not at all familiar with Macs though. Do you have a pop-up blocker option? Try properties and search through...

Yes, my popup blocker is enabled, but it's apparently not doing a very good job.

I'm on Safari too. (Love my Macbook). Next time it pops up, just hit Command-W. That will close the window and you can just go on...

LOL anytime!
And for you Windows Explorer Users, just use Control -W to close a window that you don't want open.
