Soaps seem to have a hard time writing for single women. The writers were in a rush to pair Hope with someone -- anyone --- and I think that helped derail the character. Tuesday's (7/7) show pointed out how much the vets add to the stories. I always enjoyed Hope with Jennifer and especially, Melissa. I enjoyed Hope and Melissa too. I feel there were wasted opportunities for Hope. She and Jennifer should have been visiting Maggie in prison and after she came home. |

They never really found their footing with Hope after they killed off Bo. Once her pairing with Rafe flopped and the Gina nonsense didn't work out I think both sides agreed that it was time for Hope to go for a while. They probably aren't killing her, I think everyone is right. We're getting a reunion with Rafe and both characters are leaving together with room for a return.
I don't remember the show without Hope, even though I didn't always love the story's for her but maybe a break is what the character needs.

It looks like her exit will be a random scene as I feared. One of the other characters will likely be talking about Hope leaving town rather than viewers actually seeing her leave Salem.

I watched this interview with her on Facebook today
]Hope has always been one of my favorite characters but after bo left (before they killed him) I struggled with her stories and love interests
I really wish when bo came back temporarily to wrap things up that they would have just left together rather than killing him
They could have taken Ciara with them as she was a bust and brought her back later as an adult if they wanted

It sounds like she hasn’t been happy with her storylines for years either and now she says no pop-ins. She’s just done. Hope there are no hard feelings.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kristian ends up on another soap...for all we know she could end up on General Hospital, Young and the Restless or Bold and the Beautiful
