Family relationships can be complicated. Days of Our Lives during the week of 6-22-20 explored the fragile and difficult relationship between Allie and Lucas, while Lani got a visit from her future mother-in-law and Chad spent time with his son. It's great seeing so many family scenes. I'm glad that Allie's return is causing people like Lucas and Nicole to interact after so long.
I think Nicole would be the appropriate person to have a more in-depth conversation with Allie about the father of the baby. There are multiple possibilities including Allie not being sober to consent or the the baby being the result of a one night stand and Allie not knowing his last name and how to find him. Maybe the father is "inappropriate" such as married or a lot older. I understand Lucas not wanting to consider some of these possibilities but Nicole could have a respectful understanding conversation with Allie.

I guess I disagree that Nicole should be the one to discuss the father with her or have anything to do with this situation at all
When has Nicole ever been truthful about her baby daddy?
And holly being known to be Daniels only happened cuz Chloe kept it from her
She could have tried to pass it off as Brady’s for all we know if she carried her to term
I find it weird that Allie would bother with the woman who kidnapped her baby sister
