Viewers were shocked and disgusted when Stefan took advantage of a mentally ill Abigail to have sex while she was in a dissociated state. A year later, that outrage seems to have been forgotten, at least by the writers. I am hoping that Sarah and Xander can survive the truth. Really, he didn't switch the babies to hide the truth from Sarah. He did it at Victor's behest to keep Maggie from finding out she was responsible for her grandchild's death. So I hope that the fact Xander was protecting Sarah's mother will help Sarah to forgive him.
