I thought this was the most likely scenario, only because days is the only soap that NBC has. And I imagined because days is still pretty cheap that they would try to keep them. But I have to admit that I was worried because of the lawsuit. Great news hopefully they get a slightly better budget for this season so that they can keep some of their caste or at least maybe we'll get some of the last blast cast back since because of the hiatus they're probably going to lose some of their younger actors. Still great news for days.

DAYS’s Executive Producer Ken Corday announced on set today that NBC’s 54-year-old soap, created by his parents, Ted and Betty Corday, has gotten a one-year offer from the network to keep it on the air until September 2021. The good news comes on the heels of an online article that posted last week that set off a wave of erroneous reports that the show would be canceled.
