Per Jason 47 Facebook 3-TIME DAYTIME EMMY NOMINEE EMILY O'BRIEN TO JOIN "DAYS" CAST... Three-time Daytime Emmy nominee and former "The Young and the Restless" actress Emily O'Brien was confirmed as the mystery woman standing next to Drake Hogestyn (John) in the 54th anniversary cast photo. O'Brien played Jana on YR from 2006-2011. No word yet on when her debut is or what role she'll be playing on "Days," O'Brien is from England, so she could perhaps be playing a British character. So — they are adding new people even though no one has a contract and there is going to be a long hiatus? Crazy business.

I wonder of it's a short term role or long term. Hopefully she's not another surprise offspring of Stefano or John.

For some reason this news makes me grumpy. Maybe because Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) was not in the anniversary photo but this woman was. I know it is illogical and it is not her fault. Just let me wallow for awhile.

LOL kathyj. Makes me grumpy too because this show has done a horrible job of introducing or reintroducing female characters. Jordan, Haley, Lani, Serena, Sarah. Every time they do, I hope they'll be short lived. |
