Per Jason47's website,
Let the countdown begin for the history-making one-year time jump on "Days of Our Lives", which sources have confirmed will happen 5 weeks from today on the show's 54th anniversary episode on Friday, November 8.
Makes me think of the Walking Dead which just recently had a time jump of 6 years & it worked. I wonder how this will work.

Time jumps, when done right, can breathe new life into a show. I think it was succesful on Desperate Housewives and One Tree Hill, so could work for a daytime soap as well.
I wonder if they'll take this opportunity to SORAS the youngest kids...Ari, Holly, Parker (if he still exists).
And will we have an unlikely couple suddenly together in the future?

That's the thing I don't see it done right I'm not sure how a TJ is going to actually breathe life into a soap that is on 5 days a week at least on PT its once a week I could see it working better as opposed to a daytime soap where we see these characters day in and day out. I think this is an excuse for the show to drop storylines they wrote and don't know how to resolve but start new ones and not have to write a buildup to it. |

There are a lot of storylines on Days I wouldn't mind fast forwarding but the one I want to see is a slow build up to Sarah and Xander's relationship while she's pregnant. I'll be very disappointed if this is true and they end up skipping over all of that.
