Lani and Eli are fawning over baby David in the Town Square. Though they are enjoying spending time with him, they know they’ll have to give him back to Rafe soon. Ben and Ciara walk over and Ben says that it’s true, his sister has a son.
Eli explains where Rafe tracked the baby down to, and Lani says that the baby’s name is David. Ben asks if he can hold him, but Lani says no and pulls away.
Lani explains that Rafe asked him to look after him. Ciara says that Ben has the right to hold his nephew. Eli encourages Lani to give the baby to Ben, and she does. Ben introduces himself to the baby, as Eli and Lani nervously watch. Ben mentions that the last time he held a baby was when he thought Thomas was his son. Lani says it’s getting cold and she should take David somewhere warmer. Ben says he hopes to see David again soon and hands him back to Lani. She, the baby and Eli quickly leave. Ciara asks if Lani could have been any ruder, but Ben gets why Lani doesn’t trust him. Ben offers Ciara a bubble tea to celebrate, but Eli comes back and wants to talk about the fire.
Because Jordan denied setting the fire, the case has been re-opened. Ciara asks why anyone would believe Jordan. Eli claims she’s been cooperative. Ciara counters that just because Jordan didn’t set the fire, it doesn’t mean Ben did, and they don’t have any evidence. Eli tells them about the lighter, and he found it at the Loft. He asked Claire about it, and she claims she found it lying around. Ciara doesn’t believe a word of this, and Ben denies that it’s his. Regardless, Eli wants to speak to Ciara at the station. Ben tries to go with, but Eli says he wants to do it alone. Ben says he should be there, but Ciara says that whatever they think they have is bogus, so let’s do this. She follows Eli, while Ben watches.
Eli shows Ciara the lighter and asks if she’s seen it before. Ciara has a memory of Ben standing, looking at her with the lighter.
Eli knows Ciara wants to protect Ben, but he wants the truth. Ciara claims doesn’t know if she’s seen the lighter. It looks like the lighter Ben used, but it doesn’t mean anything. Ben isn’t the one who did it. Meanwhile, Ben is on the phone. He understands he upset Jordan, but it’s about her son. He says he’ll just keep trying. Though we don’t hear the person on the other end, they clearly refuse, and Ben hangs up. Lani and the baby walk out of the Brady Pub and quickly walk away from Ben.

So we are back to Ben being a #1 suspect? I guess that makes sense never mind the fact that there are other people that could have easily have tried to kill Ciara...how about Wyatt? Or there's Chase Jennings...he could have tried to kill Ciara...I mean my point being Ciara has made enemies for years so any of them could have had reason to go after her even though we know Claire is the guilty party but you know what I am trying to say here.
