Here we go folks! It’s the finals of Dancing with the Stars!!!!!! Let’s get right to it. Ricki and Derek (CHA CHA) – For the first dance everyone is supposed to do a dance they have managed to avoid all season. So this is Ricki’s first Cha Cha. Unfortunately, the stiffness from last week is back. It’s almost like her knees don’t bend, her hips don’t move, and her back has a giant metal rod in it. None of these things make for good dancing. Yes, she moved quickly. No, she didn’t forget anything. But it was so rigid that I hated it. Cha Cha is supposed to be fun and flirty. This was, certainly, not flirty. At all. Overall, a poor choice for the Finals. But I can see it now…the judges are going to love it. Barf. My Score: 8 Judges Score: 9, 9, 9 27/30 Dance at 1:05. Rob and Cheryl (WALTZ) - <--- That’s what I did the whole time he was dancing. Just smile. Rob was graceful and confident and his footwork was really good!! There were even points where you could see that he was having fun and was smiling too. So adorable. I thought he did a great job. It wasn’t perfect, but I loved everything about it. My Score: 9 Judges Score: 9, 9, 9 27/30 I feel obligated to point out that Len said this waltz had “More rise and fall than Pam Anderson jogging.” LOL Dance at 1:20. JR and Karina (CHA CHA) – I really wanted this dance to be perfect. I mean, I’m pulling for him hardcore. But it was slightly off in a few places. He seemed to be off time a little in the beginning (I think the music was slower than they were used to) and it looked like he stumbled a little in the middle. I’d like to say that the performance side of him just took over and the technical side suffered slightly. It was still good. But it wasn’t perfect. He looked like a star performer, but not a perfect dancer. My Score: 9 Judges Score: 8, 7, 9 24/30 <--- That 7 is ridiculous. It wasn’t that bad. Jeez, Len. Dance at 1:27. Ricki and Derek (FREESTYLE) – Ok. I HAAAAAAATTTTTTEEEEEED this dance. Seriously. HATE. It was boring, ill-conceived, and poorly executed. I don’t know what Derek was trying to achieve, but they missed the mark with this one. Ricki looked stiff and uncomfortable with Z-E-R-O fluidity and nothing in this dance made sense. Absolutely nothing. Can you tell I hated it? My Score: 6 Judges Score: 9, 9, 9 27/30 Dance at 1:16. Rob and Cheryl (FREESTYLE) – It certainly had me smiling. I kept waiting for him to rip that awful dress off of Cheryl though (like a skimpier one was underneath). Ha! It wasn’t as awesome as “Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy” from ages ago (Cheryl and Drew) but I think it played to Rob’s strengths. He was able to be cheeky and sexy (mobster-style) and while at times it seemed a bit frantic, I think it was really good. My Score: 9 Judges Score: 10, 10, 10Dance at 1:00. JR and Karina (FREESTYLE) – Now THAT is a freestyle dance!!!! That was super fantastic in every way!!! I don’t even need to say anything else. My Score: 10 Judges Score: 10, 10, 10 If I could have given that an 11, I would have. It was that awesome. Dance at 1:11. My Leaderboard (combined scores) JR………..19 Rob……...18 Ricki…..14 Judges LeaderboardRob……..57 JR………..54 Ricki……54 There’s still at least one more dance to do tomorrow which will add to their scores from tonight. But I feel confident enough to make my prediction for the placements. Here’s how I see it going: 1st – JR 2nd – Rob 3rd – Ricki

Rob's dances made me smile as well. He has truly come a long way since the first dance and I hope that this confidence can translate into his real life. I like that Cheryl designed the freestyle to play to Rob's strengths and not just her dancing around him.
Ricki, her dances were just so-so for me. I just can't seem to feel much for her like I do Rob or JR.
JR, I felt so bad for him in that first dance because it was off in just the right (or wrong) places to make it extremely noticeable. But that freestyle, WOW! I had to rewind and watch it a second, and a third, time.

I hope JR's freestyle saved him and that people at home saved him because his scores for his cha-cha could really hurt him.
I was disappoint in Ricki and Derek's freestyle. He usually does something pretty fantastic for freestyle and this just really fell flat for me. Rob was good but I still can't stand him or Cheryl. Lol.

I think it was written in stone (from the beginning) that JR would win so I'm not too concerned about him. The only thing I'm concerned with is the producers' desire to fabricate "good tv." Do they consider it better if the war hero wins? Or is it better if it's an upset? THAT'S the only thing that has me nervous.

Same here. Rob is the swan song of the season. They are blowing a large amount of smoke up his rear end.

I think Rob embodies the perfect DWTS contestant. No discernable talent at the start of the season but somehow me managed to become a very competent dancer. If JR wasn't in this season, I'd be pulling for Rob to win.
I think Ricki actually got WORSE as the season progressed. She's had actual dance training (not a lot, but some) and she had talent to start with. But she just got worse and worse. I liked her in the beginning (even if I was/still am tired of Derek) but I can't stand to watch her now.

I think Ricki got worse too. I think she is trying too hard. Rather than enjoying it she has turned into Robo-Ricki.

Did Nancy dance? I didn't see her because I was so focused on Tristan. ;D
Carson, as always, hilarious. Although he and I disagree highly on the choice between Maks and Val. No contest there buddy.

I dont' keep up with nor do I watch the show, but once I heard that a Kardashian was on there, I wanted anyone but him to win it. I know it's not fair, but I'm so sick of hearing the Kardashian name that I'm on Kardashian overload (and no, I didn't/don't watch thier show either)

Mae, I hate their family too (with a fiery, seething, passion), but Rob was simply adorable. He won me over and he deserved the placement that he got. I didn't feel bad cheering for him at all.

My mom was surprised that Ricki got third. She thought she would have done better.
