I have so many characters I once liked but their storylines or changes in personality have made them unlikeable. Most of these characters become cruel when they don't get their way. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. This doesn't include the characters I just plain don't like.

Hope, Eric, and Gabi are on the top of my list. Hope and Eric both used to be kind but strong people and now they have no compunction about doing whatever they feel like in the name of protecting or defending someone who didn't ask to be protected or defended. Gabi is a one-note character now who goes around town repeating the same sob story to justify horrendous actions wherever she goes.

I agree with all of these except I think Brady still has potential to be better. Sometimes he does the right thing. Not often enough though. |

Eric (before he became a priest when Jensen played him, Greg made him too angry and judgmental)

Hope - She was once fun, feisty, strong, independent, and a good person who strived to do the right thing. Over the last few years all of that has disappeared and I don’t even recognize her as the same character.
Eric - He was once kind and good-hearted. Now he’s brooding, judgmental, and has serious anger issues.
Sonny - I used to love Sonny but he’s turned into an entitled bore.
Chad - There was a time I really enjoyed Chad trying to be the good Dimera and his chemistry with Abigail. Kate Mansi’s return has brought back some of the chemistry but his constant fighting with Stefan is tedious and boring.
Gabi - She had such potential last year when she stopped JJ from committing suicide. Since then she’s been turned into a one-note, whiny villain.
