Does the show need more DiMeras or a whole new family? (Read 325 times)

Personally if it's me since the DiMera family is being more or less phased out of the show, I would bring on a new powerful crime family to wreak havoc all over Salem. The show obviously needs a new family...new blood to be struck into the show since the DiMera crime family is not the same without certain family members like Stefano, EJ, Tony, Lexie, Andre, Kristen and Chad is on his way out soon. The new family could be the one that strikes fear into the hearts of all Salemites and this new family could be even on the same level as the DiMeras and or the Kiriakises. I mean the Kiriakises were on the same level as the DiMeras more or less but they are not anymore. I mean we had the Alamains but they were all phased out. By adding a new family in Salem you add new, fresh characters but also keep up the action and the adventure aspect the show desperately is in need of.

However, does the show need more DiMeras? I would say yes but at this point they are all being phased out one by one.

The show needs more Kiriakises (sp?). They don't even have to come up with long-lost babies to do it. They have Philip and Sonny's three brothers. I've never understood the show's lack of interest in bringing in Justin and Adrienne's other kids.

Yes we need more Kiriakises but then again we have enough of them...I mean we have Victor the patriarch and we have Brady, Sonny, Justin, Adrienne (by marriage), Maggie (by marriage) and we have Xander but the Kiriakises are not a crime family well not anymore. They used to be but personally I want to see a crime family in Salem again. I mean it is about time.

I mean I would want a whole new villainous family in Salem because of the fact that Salem could always use a whole new family of villains considering once Chad leaves the only DiMera left will be Stefan

I think the show could do with one less dimera cough stefan cough
They should play on characters they have rather than come up with more long lost spawn of stefano
As for the kiriakis clan it’s not a bad idea to use characters we know exist like Sonny’s siblings or jay as Philip
Who says they all have to be do gooders
Xander is a criminal
Maybe they can have a divide and use them as the new mob in town

The show has plenty villains and grey characters like Eve and Gabi who turn villainous when the plot calls for it.

I agree about adding (or bringing back) more Kiriakises. I find them way more interesting than the unlimited number of pop-up children of Stefano we're supposed to accept without question.

Yeah but the Kiriakises used to be a mob family but aren't anymore. I mean Victor he only has like 1 surviving child because his 2 other children Isabella and Bo are both dead. Victor's brothers Alexander, Titus and Deimos all dead. Victor only has Philip for a son so why not give Victor another long-lost son again or a long-lost daughter? Or Alexander could have had other children besides Justin or even Xander's father Titus could have had more children besides Xander.

There are enough characters on the show now and they can't write well enough for them. Maybe when they rid of other useless ones then bring on other relatives.

Besides I used to live the Kiriakis and DiMera mob war but they obviously can't reignite that feud
