What year did you all start watching Days and what storyline got you into the show? For me I started watching Days of our Lives in 2002 and the storyline that got me into this show was the Salem Serial Killer storyline. Even if it was a mess it got me into this show as far as peaking my interest and I have never stopped watching. Been watching ever since so I have been watching Days now for the better part of 17 years. The Salem Serial Killer storyline was the best because of the fact that it was Marlena as the killer which is what made it even more shocking.

3- Maggie Horton
4- Caroline Brady
5- Cassie Brady
6- Andre DiMera posing as Tony
7- Roman Brady
8- Doug Williams
9- Alice Horton

You did not know who was gonna be next in this storyline and that is what I loved about it because of how unpredictable it was at the time. However, the fact that it came out that all the murder victims were alive anyway and living on Melaswen is what got me into this show.

I started watching Days before I was born, which sounds crazy but is sort of true.

When my Mom was seven months pregnant with me, her job fired her because they could do that back then just because you were pregnant. While she was home she started watching Days of Our Lives. That was 1971. My Mom stopped watching when she went back to work full time when I was five. I can remember being upset about starting kindergarten because it meant I had to miss Days.

Probably the first storyline I can clearly recall was when a farm truck fell on Mike Horton while he was working on it and it was revealed that Mickey Horton (not Bill Horton) was Mike’s real father. I was five but I was enthralled by that story.

I also remember DJ Craig, Marlena and Don Craig’s baby dying of SIDS. I think I was about nine.

But my first truly favorite story was when I was 10, it was the Salem Strangler. That’s when Roman and Marlena got together and he slept on her floor to protect her. I remember when everyone thought Marlena had been killed and people picketed outside of NBC studios. It turned out to be Marlena’s twin sister who was murdered.

Sept 1965. Same time I was born. My Grandmother took care of me when my Mom returned to work. Granny never missed a show. By the time I was 5 I could give you a full run down on who was who.
