The week of November 19, 2018 Three more big exits. Bryan Dattilo is gone for the foreseeable future as Lucas Horton. The character left town to visit his daughter Allie in Europe last week, and apparently, won’t be returning anytime soon.
Marci Miller wraps up her two-year run as Abigail Deveraux DiMera on Monday November 19. Miller made her Days debut in 2016, taking over for actress Kate Mansi, who will be stepping back into the character’s shoes, next week.
Also saying goodbye to Salem is Christopher Sean, who has played Paul Narita since 2014. His character leaves town on Tuesday, November 20, after ending things with Will (Chandler Massey), to move to San Francisco and begin physical therapy.
Chido Nwokocha plays Luke, the hunky physical therapist Paul meets before exiting Salem.
Gabriel Rodriguez is playing DiMera guard and henchman Frank, the character who stopped Chad (Billy Flynn) from visiting Abigail at the mansion.
Matilda Hanna is playing Charlotte, Abigail and Chad’s newborn baby daughter.

I'll miss Paul and Lucas. I'm glad that their exits leave the door wide open for them to return.
Maybe Lucas will bring Allie back to Salem at some point.

Thanks sportsgirl. Sad to see Lucas and Paul leaving. They were both great additions who were given short shrift. Not overly sorry to see Marci leave. She had some great moments but overall has been a bland Abby.

I am sad to see Marci go, she made Abigail a much more liked character. She grew leaps & bounds as an actress. Sad to see Sean also go. I know these two chose to go not sure about Bryan, but I will miss him also.

I will miss Christopher as Paul.
Bryan/Lucas has left before and he always comes back, so I'm too worried about him. Hoping to se Lucas in Salem next year.
I liked Marci Miller just fine, but her Abigail was too calm and bland for my taste. I'm looking forward to Kate Mansi bringing back some fire and personality to the character.

Is Vanessa Williams (Valerie) actually leaving the show?

Is Vanessa Williams (Valerie) actually leaving the show? Yes, I had read it somewhere but I can't remember where... Found this: soapdirt

Thanks sportsgirl. I sure hope it was the actress who wanted to leave and they didn't blow her off because they want Sheila and Abe together. Valerie is a beautiful respected doctor, and Sheila is an unrefined ex-con who's 25 years younger than Abe. I like Sheila, but not for Abe. This is not an even trade and this will require suspending a ton of disbelief.

I also don’t think T-Boz is that great of an actress. I’d rather just see her in a smaller role. JMO. I really like Valerie and the actress who plays her.

I'm very sad to see Marci go. Its going to be hard to get used to Kate Mansi again. IMO Marci was a much better fit for Abby.
Also very sorry that Christopher Sean left but Paul had no story besides being bounced between Will and Sonny so I don't blame the actor for not wanting to stay.

I will miss all who have left this month, especially Marci and Christopher. And I agree Valerie was a beautiful addition to the show and I am curious too why Vanessa Williams is leaving. I hope she wasn't forced out like Bryan. Like Marci she wasn't on the show that long. I get what people think about a possible Sheila/Abe pairing, it is kind of silly. But imo T-Boz needs to be given a chance in her role. She is not a professional actress but maybe she will get better. Anyway I think she is kind of refreshing even though her character is obnoxious.
