Should Chloe Raise Holly? (Read 448 times)

Chloe conceived, carried and gave birth to Holly. Now that both of Holly's parents—Nicole and Daniel—have died (or so it seems), I think it is only right for Chloe to raise Holly. I think she'll want to. Makes me wonder if Chloe and Eric will bond over their connection to Holly and form a relationship in the future.

I am unsure. I thought it was awful how Chloe kept Holly away from Nicole and it caused a terrible chain of events. Although I know Chloe felt bad and sorry about the whole thing later, and she would be a good mom to Holly. So I don't know.

I think Nicole's next of kin should really get Holly. I believe her sister Taylor is still alive. Yep it will be off-screen but we never see Parker either.

I don't think the writers are ready to let Holly go yet. I see custody battle in the future. It might be how they bring Xander back to the canvas. He was Nicole's legal husband. I could see a scenario where to screw with Eric (who has no legal right to Holly) he sues for custody. In order to have some kind of standing he get's Chloe's help (someone who successfully proved to be a fit mother to Holly(though I disagreed with what she did)). That way we can chem test them.

I do think Chloe might get involved especially with what we know is happening with her current story.

I don't think that Chloe needs Holly. We don't even see her with Parker now. Besides that, she's already got another baby to look after until the truth about "Baby Bonnie" comes out. There are other family members that can take care of Holly and do a fine job of it. And I admit that the circumstances around Holly's birth and custody have fully soured me on Chloe getting Holly. Not to mention if Nicole does return, I don't want to see another custody battle between Chloe and Nicole...which I see the writers trying to do because they can't come up with new ideas.

I think Maggie and Sarah should be involved in raising Holly as well as Nicole's family. I don't think Eric is equipped to raise a child. Too bad Faye (Nicole's mom) is gone. Chloe would be a great resource and Holly should know her brother. In other words, it takes a village.

Well, Eric is pretty much ruined for me. I hate the way he dogged Jennifer and I never want her to take him back. At one time, I thought Chloe and Eric could be a sexy couple. Maybe they still could be. Eric has a long road to redemption as far as I'm concerned but a story where he's trying to raise Holly and Chloe helps him out b/c of her connection to Holly and Nicole could be interesting to watch develop into a love story.

I don't think she should just take over raising her though. Does anyone remember if Holly has godparents?

I would say yes because Parker is her brother and honestly I think Chloe would give all the love in the world to holly
Taylor and Brandon are never even mentioned it’s like the writers forgot about them
Maggie is also a good choice
I don’t think Eric is fit to raise her and he may be good with Chloe but he’s such a jerk I wouldn’t wish it on her
As for baby Bonnie Chloe has already figured that out so I don’t see this dragging out too Much longer

I think Maggie should raise Holly. She is the closest on-screen relative that Holly has. I wouldn't mind Chloe spending some time with her since she and Parker are related. However, I don't think she should be her primary guardian. As mae00 pointed out, we never see Chloe with Parker, her own child, and that's who she should be concentrating on.
