EXCLUSIVE: TYLER CHRISTOPHER OUT AT 'DAYS' FOR GOOD!


Back in September, Daytime Confidential shocked fans of Days of Our Lives by reporting that Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, General Hospital) would be temporarily filling in for Tyler Christopher in the role of Stefan DiMera. Since debuting in December of 2017, fans of the long running NBC soap opera have had mixed reactions to the character of Stefan. But, the reaction seemed positive when they learned Brandon would be stepping in.

Earlier last week, a source reported to Daytime Indulgence that Tyler Christopher is officially gone from DAYS and will not be returning to the series. The source also gave us a reason. However, we are not a site that goes into great details about an actor's personal life.

There is no word yet on how long Brandon will stick around in the role.

I don’t think my issue is entirely with the actor
He’s not my favorite but let’s be serious dool has had much worse
My issue is the character and the story of a rapist that is another one of stefanos secret children
I just don’t buy that he would have bedded Vivian and knocked her up
I know he got around but seriously it was just too contrived for me as was him claiming the whole dimera legacy, company and home because he owned the bank that leant the mortgage
It was stupid
It is stupid and a new actor isn’t going to make this less stupid
Thy need to just discredit him as a dimera and Ben can go all necktie in him
Only then will I consider watching again

I agree. It's not the actor at all. He's doing a fine job. It's the character and the writing for the character. I think I'm one of the few who doesn't mind the character but I understand why he's loathed. I doubt replacing the actor will change that.

I think it would be a lot better if Stefan were in a story away from Abby and Chad.

I don’t personally believe you can redeem a character that sexually abuses mentally ill women and then continues to mess with her

So this is the first time I realized the actor was permanently leaving. I don’t mind the actor either but it might make a difference the way that a new actress changed the way people perceived Abby. After Kate Mansi left it seemed like they tried to play down the side of Abby that went after EJ and it was a little easier for people to forget that since a new actress was playing Abby as a meek little mouse.

Maybe it will work for Stefan too.

I think they were attempt to re-do some small part of EJ & Sami history since at one point EJ had one similar to Sami. However that storyline didn't quiet work for me with EJ and Sami but worked even less when it came to Stefan and Gabi [one of abby's other personalities] Stefan and Gabi [he real one not Abby's alter] even Stefan and Chloe just don't work for me.
