Oooooh. It’s Dancing with the Spooky Starsssss!!!! Ha ha. In the top corner, instead of saying “Live” it says “Dead.” LOL.

EDITORS NOTE: To avoid some confusion, I’ve separated my comments about the rehearsal footage and the actual dance with a <Play> button. It made a little more sense to me.

David and Kym (CHA CHA) – David says their dance is going to be a combination of Dracula and a magician. So to make their act look more realistic, they brought in a real magician. Because that’s what David needs to look better. Magic. Not dancing skills. <Play> Well, the routine was a little strange. It was kind of hard to see exactly what he was doing, I was just so distracted by Kym’s fringe. Maybe that WAS the magic? In any case, I wasn’t impressed. Entertained? Yes. But not really impressed. Sorry Dave. You’re gonna have to step it up (pun intended!!) if you plan on staying too much longer. My Score: 7 Judges Score: 8, 8, 8 24/30

JR and Karina (TANGO) – For some reason they’re dancing a Tango to “Ghostbusters.” What the… I get that each song is supposed to have a Halloween theme, but if they were forced to dance to this song, it should have been a Cha Cha or a Swing perhaps because this song is NOT a Tango. But that’s the producers fault. Not Karina’s. So let’s see what she comes up with. <Play> With her costume, obviously she’s supposed to be a ghost and JR is the ghost buster. But this is just all kinds of wrong. I am totally NOT feeling it and it sort of pisses me off. JR deserves better than this. I hate it when the dance doesn’t match the song. It affects how you watch it (or at least how I watch it). But when the dance so blatantly doesn’t go with the song, it can be hard to get into. Even JR isn’t moving as well as he usually does. He must not be feeling it either. Oh well. I’m sure they did their best, but I am not entertained. NEXT! My Score: 8 Judges Score: 9, 8, 8 25/30

Nancy and Tristan (JIVE) – Uh oh. Jive is super hard and when it’s not done well it can be realllllly bad. But I love Tristan. He is just tooo cute. And apparently, they are dancing to that Halloween classic “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Ummm. Ok. Now, I love that song as much as the next girl. But it never makes me think of Halloween. But ok. Commence with the jive! <Play> Oh dear. This was just TERRRRRRIBLE!!!!!! Tristan looks the cutest he’s ever looked (and if that Devil came in my room late at night I certainly wouldn’t make him leave), but Nancy, far and away, looked the worst she has ever looked. That song is way too fast to be dancing that slow. It looked like she was caught in quicksand or molasses or something. Ugh! It just make me yell at the TV “Dance faster, you cow!!!” My Score: 6 Judges Score: 7, 7, 7 21/30

Rob and Cheryl (TANGO) – The Adams family. *SNAP SNAP* Based on the rehearsal footage, this looks like it has the potential to be really good. And I can’t believe I’m saying that about Rob. But I’ll give the guy credit. He’s actually getting better from week to week, so I’m hopeful. <Play> Cheryl is a perfect Morticia (sp?) and Rob had the right attitude, but technically speaking, he was lacking a bit. But only a bit. It wasn’t fantastic (he’s not Giles) but I liked it. My Score: 8 Judges Score: 9, 8, 8 25/30

Ricki and Derek (PASO DOBLE) - Apparently Ricki injured herself last week and has an inflamed nerve in her chest which feels like a cracked/broken rib. The doctor says normally he would recommend that she rest for a week or two, but obviously that won’t work here, so he bandages her up and off she goes. <Play> Derek is not my type. At all. But I guess vampire/werewolves are, ‘cuz that guy looked extra hot tonight. Fake teeth and all. Yummy. Ricki seemed a bit loose and not as controlled as she usually is, but it was still pretty good. I think she was most hesitant because of her injury, which is understandable. But overall, I thought it was really good. My Score: 9 Judges Score: 9, 9, 9 27/30

Hope and Maks (SAMBA) – Maks broke his toe and had to get a substitute to work with Hope and then he seemingly got a little jealous when Hope seemed to have more fun with the sub. Awww. Too cute. Hope said that her “new teacher” was so much easier to work with and they learned the routine in half the time. Ouch. I don’t care how long it took for Maks to teach me a routine. I’d stay there all night if I had to. <Play> Good idea to have all the fog on the floor, Maks. It makes it much harder to see how horrible Hope’s feet are. And, Maks, are you supposed to be a vampire, a werewolf, or Wolverine? I’m a little confused. Either way, you still look hot, baby. Kisses!!! My Score: 7 Judges Score:8, 8, 8 24/30

TEAM TANGO (JR, Nancy, David) – Dressed as inmates from an insane asylum, Team Tango hits the floor. As the weakest link, Nancy goes first. And even as an insane person Tristan looks amazing. David is 2nd and did alright. JR, as the strongest one, goes last and looks amazing. He is so gonna win this. Over all, a VERY nice job! A good team routine and I liked it. My Score: 9 Judges Score: 8, 7, 8 23/30

TEAM PASO DOBLE (Ricki, Hope, Rob) – First off, I think it’s a little unfair that Ricki has Paso TWICE tonight. That hardly seems right. But whatever. Lots of tension between Maks and Hope. Hmmmm. I gotta say, though, looks like team Paso has it all over Team Tango. Everyone in this group looked better than Team Tango. The solos looked better and the parts together looked a whole lot better. Of course, as my husband was quick to point out, they also had two male pros that could lead the whole time. It’s a lot easier to disguise stuff when the pro is a man and he can lead. In any case, I liked it better and the higher scores are well deserved. And Maks is still rocking that Wolverine look. Yummy indeed! My Score: 10 Judges Score: 9, 8, 9 26/30

I wasn't totally wowed by any of the dances. Ricki's was good. JR's suffered from poor song choice. Nancy was just too slow, but Tristan was nice to look at. Hope, I can't believe how inconsiderate the rehearsal footage made her sound. I was so glad when Maks got rid of the sleeves and the fake shirt rather quickly. I wasn't ready to see Covered-Up Maks. David, I just couldn't see what the judges saw I guess. He was just too stiff or something for me. Something wasn't quite right with the dance.

Yeah, overall, I thought the night was kind of a mess. No one was spectacular and it looked like they all suffered.

Shocking Update: David was eliminated. These producers are nuts! That should have been Nancy, or at least Hope. David deserved better.

I just threw my hands up in the air when they said it was David. You're right, DD. He deserved better. I really want to know who is voting for Nancy. I think they just went from getting flaming bags of dog poo on their porches to getting horses' heads in their beds. I am not happy.

I say it every season, but this time they've really gone too far. The judges are meaner than ever and the dancing is (on the whole) the worst it's ever been. I can't pretend that I won't watch next season, because I know I will. But I won't like it. *pouts*

That is terrible!!!!! I am so sad he is out. That just sucks!!!
