Soap Opera Digest's 2/15 issue ran the results of a Snap Poll that asked readers "Whose decision to exit their show are you most lamenting?"
Days's Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip) - 49%
All My Children's Melissa Clair Egan (Annie) - 45%
Days's Shelley Hennig (Stephanie) - 6%

Good for Jay ... and poor Shelley she never had a chance with the way that character was written. I lament Philip's departure and the fact that Patch and Kayla's daughter never quite arrived in Salem.

I will miss Jay's Philip.....I was soooo glad when that other Philip (Kyle something or other) left....he drove me up the wall....he and that last Shawn really were 10 on my yuk scale.....
But I will miss Jay and Philip.....
And even though Stephanie was an unfavorable character, I thought Shelley brought a missing element to the show....vivaciousness and vulnerability (and down right cuteness)......we lost Melanie and now we are losing Stephanie/Shelley.......

I'm still mourning...in advance. I feel like I did when Lucas left. There are not enough real good men left on Days. We have Brady. We have Rafe. We have Will We have Chad (noth of them are waaay to young for me to lust over). EJ...can't go there; not at all. We have Victor and Stefano and Bo. And Abe. All nice guys, but not my type. Roman is almost always absent and he never gets to take his shirt off anyway. I know Daniel is supposed to count, but he still has too much ick factor after Chelsea and the Grandma and the Chloe exam. He has to be alone for awhile for me to have some time to forget the ick factor. I am having a serious concern about my abilty to enjoy some "love in the afternoon" now. ;D
