Ok...so this so called triangle's been playing out a few weeks now.We know Jack has evened the score,DANIEL knows Jack has evened the score, hell even Victor knows it. The thing is....I don't think the score's evened at all.I really believe Jack is in the lead, and here's why:
1)Daniel is crowding Jennifer-where has Jack been in the last few days? 2)Jack is using their dates to open up to her about things he's been through,he's not using their dates to press upon her their history.Jenn's a sucker for that. 3)Even though it was Jack's date night a few days ago,Daniel showed up when it was over.Umm buddy, hasn't anyone ever told you "wait your turn"? 4)Listen not only to what Jenn's saying, but more importantly what she's NOT saying. For example....everytime she's with Daniel, her every second sentence is about Jack, something he said, something he did either in the past or present.Point is,she can't shut up about him. When she's with Jack, she doesn't mention Daniel. Not to mention that she hasn't really told daniel she loves him since Jack came back. It's either "you're so good to me"or I need you,or some such nonsense, but not "I Love you" 5)In the past, whenever there were problems with Jack and Jennifer, the weather was a metaphor for that.During the train adventure of the 90s,Jenn was hiding her rape, she got caught in a snow storm where Jack was forced to deal with her and his fear,as the weather cleared, they came out of the storm stronger than ever. Now there is a snowstorm about to hit Salem, and guess what?Jack and Jenn are in turmoil. If history repeats itself, which I think it will, they will weather the storm together and come out stronger, and it will be Sayonara Daniel! 6)There has been a bit more than speculation that Jack will suffer from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder),due to everything he's been through. My guess is maybe one of the kids that will end up missing shortly is going to be the catalyst for it.Jack will find out the kid is missing and flip out, thinking about the boy who died in Afghanistan.Again,Jennifer will see Jack in bad shape, and she'll decide she's the only one who can pull him out of it.She'll spend more and more time with Jack through his illness and will slowly faze Dan out. 7)My last point-Daniel is going to turn out to be Maggie's son.Obviously Mickey's death has not altered Jennifer's stance that Maggie is her Aunt, she is not going to take this news well, and due to the fact that Daniel will now be her "Cousin"there's no way she's going to date him.
All this to say,Jack's going to be the winner. All signs point to Daniel being left out in the cold in one way or another.Any thoughts?

Great post, Delina.
I'm hoping Jack proves victorious, but I see Daniel as being the cooler head through all this. He's being emotionally supportive of Jennifer, as well as supportive of her career and her family. Even Jack's daughter has chosen Daniel over her own father.
Daniel is being kind, gentle, and patient. Patience is not a trait that Jack possesses. I think we are watching the yin and the yang here. I've never been a fan of Daniel's but if I were being an impartial observer, I would say that Daniel's approach is preferable. Of course, this challenge is all about emotions, and there ain't nothing rational about emotions.

Normally I'd agree with you,but I don't see Daniel as being patient in this at all.If he was,he wouldn't be behind her at every turn.He wouldn't have showed up on Jack's date night, and on that night,he wouldn't have told her what he was going to ask her the night of the party. It just feels to me like he knows Jenn's vulnerable and he's playing on that.JMO though. To me,he would have stepped back, left Jenn alone on Jack's date night, and would have called her the next day or something.I have a hard time when Daniel says he loves her.Daniel uses the term too loosely.Once Jenn goes back to Jack,Daniel won't have a hard time finding the next "love of his life".

Great post Delina. You gave a lot of valid and interesting points. I think Daniel is becoming more likeable as a character but I'm sure that Jack will win Jennifer back in the end.

Thank you fluffy.I'm glad you liked it Honestly for me,Daniel's not becoming more likeable. He was for a bit,but now he's getting way too possessive and clingy IMO.I don't like that.I really thought Jack would be the one to cling,be possessive, hone in on dates, etc etc,but it turns out Daniel's the one doing it.

Jack will win b/c that's what he was brought back for. I'd have been better to have waited a bit for Jenn and Dan to be really head over heels, married, and adopting a kid together.
But, Jack came back now, when they were in the baby steps of the relationship. Sad, b/c I liked Dan and Jenn.

You're right Trey, that is what they brought Matt back for, otherwise they wouldn't have done it.And while I've known from the beginning they are endgame,it's kinda fun to watch them get there.Mind you,I would have preferred someone else, anyone else, than Daniel as the third party in this triangle.

Love the post JayD!!! I don't know that I agree that Daniel is being quite as pushy as you say, but I do see him as being a bit desperate. He sees the most recent "love of his life" slipping away, so he's trying to hold onto her. Too bad we all know he's going to lose.
As much as I hate the idea of a child missing/in danger, I do like the idea of the effect it might have on Jack. That could turn into a very powerful storyline for Matt and I'm sure he would kill it!!

I agree DD,Matt would definitely kill it,and frankly,he's OWED that storyline with everything Days has put him through over the years.I love the idea of a kid missing and Jack flipping his lid over it (no I don't like the idea of anything happening to kids...but if it'll play into a powerful storyline for Matt I'm all for it).Hopefully Days won't short change Matt over this one.

Ok so I agree Matt is OWED a great storyline instead of the same old trying to win Jennifer back..oh wait.... As far as Daniel is concerned ..the man is being way too pushy but dumb Jennifer allows it. If Jack was not playing by the rules..showing up on Dr Tan's night she would have read him the riot act. It also bugs me that she is always sucking face with Daniel ( Thought she might have changed her name from Horton to HOOVER ) and jack is not allowed to even hold her hand. There should be one set of rules for Jack and another for Dan. I am aware that she must know that kissing Jack would prove that her big " Love " for Daniel was nothing more than a crush and / or hero worship. Matt was brought back to be with Jennifer..we all know that , but hopefully it won't be two years again before they get there. Sorry for the rant
