"Part of the strategy is bringing out the big guns, which includes bringing back Lisa Rinna and Billie Reed." Soaps have gone through a tough time recently, with ratings declining and the cancellation of 'All My Children' and 'One Life To Live.' And although the future of daytime soaps is still anything but certain, the team behind 'Days of Our Lives' has made it clear it's going to fight. "Lisa is doing a James Franco," the source says, referencing Franco's recent guest role on "General Hospital." "There is something full circle about bringing her back to the role that made her famous and now harnessing her celebrity to secure the future of the show." The actress reprised her role as Billie briefly in 2002, and fans will likely love to see her back once again on the NBC soap. Rinna's scripts are closely guarded and her storyline will only be revealed to the actors who have scenes with her. But sources tell me a deal has been confirmed and Lisa will be back in Salem in December to start shooting. |

Not my favorite Billie but at least the "doing a James Franco" makes it sound like she will make intermittent guest appearances which I think is the best use for Billie at this time and under the current conditions on Days.

Why would she come back without Chelsea & Max? Chelsea went there to take care of her and if this visit is for the Holidays, you'd think Chelsea would want to see her family...I doubt it would be to cause problems for Bo & Hope especially all the work this writing team has done to make-up for the Carly debacle.

I wonder if she'll be involved with Roman or Daniel. She was never a favorite of mine. I wonder why TPTB only seem interested in the over 40 returns. Meanwhile we have no one between 25 and 35. I understand that some actors are unavailable like the original portrayers of Shawn and Belle but really. How many viewers will Lisa Rinna pull in?! Not as many as say...Bryan Dattilo or JKJ!
Please keep Billie away from Bo & Hope. Been there done that too many times.

Oops,I hadn't read that far down the article,lol.If she's back doing something interesting,then good.If she's only back to once again cause trouble with Bo and Hope,I'm not thrilled with that.

Yeah it sounds like something bigger to me.Maybe she figures into Jack's storyline somehow.From the sweeps spoilers,it sounds like he's headed for PTSD,so maybe she knows something about what he went through?
