SoapHubChristopher Sean QUITS Days of Our Lives! Hot on the heels of joining the Star Wars universe with a new animated series comes word that Christopher Sean has chosen to leave Days of Our Lives, According to Daytime Confidential, who broke the news, Sean decided to quit the soap in order to pursue primetime and film roles. He joined DAYS in 2014 as a spoiler to the very popular Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (then Guy Wilson) romance. He was tied to Drake Hogestyn‘s John Black when the longtime character learned her had a long-lost son. When Freddie Smith returned to the show after Will’s “death,” the two were paired and the couple was hugely popular before the Chandler Massey returned to the role of Will. About a month ago, Sean revealed he would be joining the Star Wars universe in its new anime-inspired show premiering next fall, called “Star Wars Resistance.” There was speculation at the time that he might be leaving DAYS but until now, nothing was ever confirmed. That show will focus on the era before Star Wars: The Force Awakens, when we got to see what became of Leia, Han, and Luke decades after The Return of the Jedi ended. Sean’s career is poised to go gangbusters now and it’s not shocking that he would want the freedom to be able to take on new projects without the constraints that come with a daytime contract. It is unknown at this time how DAYS will handle his departure. They could recast the role or Paul could end up leaving Salem heartbroken after a Will and Sonny reunion.

Welp, I guess that means Will and Sonny will be back together soon. I’m a longtime WilSon fan at heart, so I can’t say I’m 100% upset by this news.
I do hate to see Paul go, I like him as a character. But I guess the love triangle can only go on so long.

I'm sad too. I loved Christopher Sean. He was so watchable. Any scene with him in it was a good scene! Thanks sportsgirl. |

I'll miss Paul. I'm not surprised that he is chose not to renew his contract. Paul was on the sidelines most of his time in Salem. I'll be surprised if they choose to recast.
