from daytime royalty daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8595922/1/SOW: John Breaks Out of House Arrest; Nov 1st Issue John urges Marlena to attend Town Square's big Halloween party. He tells Marlena, "You need to take a break from all this house arrest and enjoy yourself," previews Drake Hogestyn. "He wants her to be amongst her family and friends. But Marlena says, "Absolutely not. We'll have some popcorn made and we're going to watch a movie.'" She even invited Bo and Hope over to join them. But when the couple comes, they whisk Marlena away and head for the Halloween party. "As soon as Marlena leaves, John has a device that he hooked to the computer," previews Hogestyn. "I'm not sure how, but it enables him to take of the electronic monitor." Next, John manages to slip out of the townhouse show up at the Horton Square, his face hidden by a mask. John finds Marlena and surprises her. "It's all good for a while," smiles Hogestyn. Marlena worries that John will be discovered and thinks he should make a hasty exit. The Blacks are then joined by Abe. "He can tell it's John," shares Hogestyn. "Abe isn't going to say a word - but he tells John to get his butt back to the townhouse immediately." EJ is also the party and makes his way toward John and Marlena. Hogestyn teases, "He's in jeopardy then."

To me it just sounds like John is a total jerk...They wanted him not to remain in jail and now he may go back if caught.

Yikes. I like the pace things are moving at, it just seems to be too lovey lovey and not enough drama....I dunno...

While I love the pacing of the storylines lately, this one seems to be at a standstill and not as much about John as it is about building the animosity between Rafe/Austin/Carrie/Sami.

Let's see...John's "troubled" by putting everyone's marriages in jeapardy and Abe's campaign in trouble. He's upset that people are throwing rocks at him at his penthouse endangering his family. He has to go live on TV to state that he's totally innocent and would never break the rules.
THEN he breaks house arrest to surprise the love of his life on Halloween.
Really, John? Really?

Exactly my point Trey. It's utterly ridiculous. Why the hell would he do something so STUPID?

Well, it reminds me of the old saying (which is crude) but...God gave men both a male member and a brain, but unfortunately not enough blood supply to run both at the same time. John finally had those "stirring" feelings, so it might take him a while to get the Salem brain.

If we have to wait for John to get the Salem brain for this story to turn around, we're going to be waiting a V-E-R-Y long time.
