The new head writers are from Passions. Although someone asked about that in an interview and they said Jim Reilly was the one coming up with all of those stories on Passions.

If I knew how he contributed to the final product, I might be more sorry he's gone. But since I don't have a clue of what he adds to the show, ehhhh. *shrugs* Even though "Passions" is a dirty word, I have a feeling that it was Jim Riley who was the one to blame there. As long as he doesn't come back, we should be ok.

I don't really freak out when I see that Passions staff are coming to Days because Passions was a completely different show. You knew from the beginning that there were witches and all that kind of weird stuff. I don't really see them trying to fit that into a 45 year old classic staple in the soap world.

I don't understand why they suddenly need two producers and two head writers. Days and other soaps have long gotten by with one of each so why now with the supposed budget issues are they doubling up on their highest paid administrator positions to begin with. If Maxam wasn't working out then just let Meng have it to himself and save the money on a second salary. And the other thing I don't get is why with the more recent cancellations of soaps that were much more successful for much longer that Corday keeps scavenging among the Passions debris.

Silly lady. Death is merely an illness in Salem. However, I didn't know that he'd died.
