I thought last night's episode was excellent, but I hated Erin worse than ever. All she cared about was that she was blindsided by Eddie bringing the victim to her office, and the whole thing could have been avoided if Erin had just told Eddie what kind of evidence was needed to be able to press charges. They've been setting up for a while that Jamie is a lot like Frank, which puts him into conflict with people who don't do things by the book. I thought it was silly for the Archbishop to expect Frank not to use the security cameras by the church in his investigation. He should have realized that that was a way to find the bad guy without compromising the Archbishop's integrity in the confessional. Decent show last night (1/28). I missed the beginning. Erin was acting like a jealous fool. I wonder if they are going to have a romance between Erin and Anthony.
I didn't like that family dinner though. It really felt forced for everyone to make fun of Jamie and Eddie's wine. Why are they so closed-minded. And I especially didn't like Danny saying it's what couples do when they're bored with each other. Jamie and Eddie didn't respond to that, which concerned me as well.
What did you think?

I thought it was a great show. I especially liked Jamie and Henry's storyline. They've been doing a number of stories recently around Henry dealing with getting older, and they're always moving. I loved the final scene between Jamie and Henry and thought Len Cariou (Henry) should get an Emmy nod. Erin was acting super jealous IMO, and I was glad Anthony put her in her place. I was wondering if they have feelings for each other, though last season she was moving back toward a relationship with her ex-husband, so who knows? Well, that was a different side to Erin's personality! Throughout most of Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 14, she was on her usual high horse about doing things by the book and not accepting evidence unless she had proof everything was above board. But in the last two minutes of the hour, she decided to take Joe bowling, and she seemed to become a completely different person. She was... fun! Who knew she was capable of that? -- Check out the rest of my writeup at the link below. I enjoyed this one and thought Joe was much more likable than usual too. www.tvfanatic.com/2022/02/blue-bloods-season-12-episode-14-review-allegiance/

Nice writeup heroicmuse. I didn't buy Erin as a bowler. Felt very contrived to me, just so she could bond with her nephew. Katie was nasty to Eddie when being made wasn't at all Eddie's fault. I liked seeing Jamie encouraging her not to give up. He's never warm and fuzzy, but he's in her corner. I also liked Sid's advice to Frank. And Tony Danza's performance was definitely a standout. It's rare to see him in a straight dramatic role.

Kpatch I was so mad at Katie! How was Eddie supposed to predict that someone who knew her would happen to be at that bar that night? I also liked that everyone seemed supportive when Eddie said she didn't want to be a sergeant after all.

Decent show. I especially liked the Sunday dinner this week. I think Eddie was really hurt though when they all said they didn't like her quiche.

Yep! I'm so excited. There have been several interviews with the cast in honor of it. In the TV Guide, the cast answered viewer questions about the show. My favorite answer was Will Estes (Jamie) when someone asked if Eddie and Jamie would ever have a baby. He said, "That's up to God and the writers. I'm staying tuned just like you are."

Interested to see your writeup heroicmuse. The side-stories were odd. I hated the story about the cop who got shot. It was a waste of time. The husband being stabbed wasn't interesting either except I guess they wanted to team up Danny and Eddie. I did like the story about Anthony's promotion, except I found the banter between Anthony and Erin in the beginning extremely offensive and if Jamie had a problem with the harrassment the week before, imagine how he'd have reacted if he heard the two of them. The St. Patrick's Day dinner was fun. I don't think Eddie fits in, even after all this time.

heroicmuse, you won't believe this. I had a dream last night that Frank and Eddie got married. They sort of had to once word got out they were dating. It was scandalous, both because of the age difference and the fact that he's her superior.

I missed the Sunday dinner and some other scenes while I was multitasking. It looked like a good episode except the argument between Frank and Jamie seemed contrived and Tom Selleck's acting seemed just a little off.
