I also don't like Erin's new boss, but... maybe I might because Erin totally took control!
I came into this season figuring it was finished. Episode #1 and I'm all in, TOTALLY!

I found that wedding so disappointing. Yes, it was nice that Frank walked Eddy down the aisle, but that was the end of the ceremony. We have barely seen any of Jamie and Eddie's relationship. We didn't see a proposal. And now we didn't see the wedding. I'm thinking the actors don't like kissing each other, or maybe kissing any other actor, because there's no onscreen romance.

I didn't like the lack of wedding and I don't think most fans did either from what I was reading. I read an interview with Will Estes (Jamie) who said he felt like he'd been through a wedding since that scene took all day to film. He said Season 10 hasn't started filming yet and he didn't know if the wedding would be continued or not, and suggested that if enough fans contact the show about it the writers may decide to do so. Blue Bloods is the only prime time series I watch with any regularity. I found it disappointing for a season premiere. Not surprised there was no wedding follow up. I hated the Erin storyline. They just wanted to make the woman into a hero but it is not credible that a district attorney would go after a suspect with a gun. Dumb. I look forward to reading your recap, heroicmuse. |

I didn't mind Erin going after the suspect with a gun since she comes from a family of cops. But I would have rather seen some fallout between her and Anthony since he interviewed the victim who then claimed that Erin's office pressured her to testify.

Did anyone watch Friday's episode (12/6)? I was so disturbed how Erin treated her colleague while he was in the hospital. She yelled at him and slapped him repeatedly. I don't care that they've known each other forever. He' a subordinate. He nearly lost his life and she's being abusive. I couldn't help thinking what would happen if the roles were reversed. Suppose he had smacked her while she's in a hospital bed, or anywhere for that matter. People would be outraged. I'm outraged. It was totally inappropriate and distasteful.
