I don't know why, but I still do not trust Aiden, but for now she needs to figure out how to get out of this mess. She is right about not living her life on the run.

I think Hope should let Aiden argue her case in front of a jury. Unlike Justin, he's a competent lawyer. LOL
I hope they don't stay on the run long term.

Living on the run would mean giving up contact with Shawn and Ciara. Maybe Aiden can help her clear her name.

Chapter 20
Hope stared up at the ceiling as tears rolled down the side of her face. She knew she was in a tough spot being a fugitive, but somehow she had always imagined things would work out. Knowing Rafe, he’d frantically be searching for her while trying to get her out of this mess. How could she cast aside a man like that, a man who’d do anything and everything for her? On the other hand, how could she keep up a ruse when she didn’t really love him, or even like him anymore. It didn’t much matter because he might never find her.
Then there was Aiden. He’d just professed his love for her. Deep down, she already knew how he felt. His kindness, his care, his smile, his voice and his eyes told her how he felt. He’d do anything for her too. The question was, what was she supposed to do with that knowledge? In a way, staying with him was her only option. He was willing to aid and abet a convicted criminal, to harbor a fugitive and be an accessory after the fact—but by hiding out here, wouldn’t she just be using him and taking advantage of his feelings for her? Or was he the one taking advantage of her dependence on him?
*
A few minutes after Hope went to her room, Aiden powered up his Macbook laptop and did a Ewe Search for Princess Gina, circa 2000. He was stunned by how much information he found. Gina had impersonated Hope for months and she tried to murder Shawn Douglas when he became suspicious that Gina wasn’t really his mother.
A loud knock at the front door startled him. He closed the lid of the computer and went to answer the door. He peered out before opening the door. His heart constricted when he saw an Illinois State Trooper waiting on the other side.

Interesting how Aiden found out that Hope's doppleganger did the same thing to Shawn that his doppleganger did to her, yet Hope still has a hard time trusting him.

I have a feeling that Aiden is going to use Princess Gina to his advantage in this.
I'm still not fully trusting of Aiden and in all of Hope's thoughts, not once did she mention her feelings about him. She mentioned she didn't reciprocate Rafe's feelings, but with Aiden, it was only just her taking advantage of his feelings about her. I don't think she ever really loved him either.

I'm glad Hope is taking time to think about everything. It's interesting that she is wondering if she's taking advantage of Aiden or if he is taking advantage of her.

Thank you my loves for continuing to read and be interested in this story. I don't like the Hope we've gotten on the show for the past year or two, but I like the Hope in this story. I hope you do too!
This week, on The Fugitive…
What Aiden does here in response to the state trooper will be telling.
Aiden is interrogated by the state trooper who shows him photos of the fugitives. Aiden admits he’s not alone in the cabin, at which point the officer wants to speak to the other person living there. What will Aiden do?

I expect Aiden will sacrifice his own freedom to protect Hope just like he did all those years ago when Chase killed his mom. I hope I'm right.

Wonder what Aiden’s gonna do when the state trooper asks to see the other resident of the cabin.

Chapter 21
Aiden peered out before opening the door. His heart constricted when he saw an Illinois State Trooper waiting on the other side. He blew out some air, smoothed out his hair and opened the door. “Good day, Officer. What can I do for you?”
“My name is Trooper Dixon. Sorry to bother you Mr. —”
“Jennings.”
“Sorry to bother you, Mr. Jennings, but I’m sure you heard about the convicts who escaped after a bus crash. It happened a few miles from here, so we’re going door to door to see if anyone knows anything.”
Aiden kept the front door mostly closed as he spoke to the Trooper. “Are you saying you haven’t captured the fugitives?”
“Unfortunately not.” He leaned to the right to try and see in. “May I enter? I want to show you some pictures.”
“Oh. Of course. Please come in.”
Aiden glanced toward the hallway leading to the bedrooms hoping Hope wouldn’t come out.
“Have you seen this woman? Her name is Sheila Watkins.”
“No. She doesn’t look familiar to me.”
“How about Hattie Adams?” He held up another picture.
“She looks like someone I knew, but no, I haven’t seen this woman.”
“Are you sure?”
He looked at the picture again, and merely shook his head from side to side.
“And how about this one?” He held up a picture of Hope. “Her name is Hope Brady and she’s an ex-cop who was sentenced to 25 years for murder.”
Aiden worked to keep a neutral expression. “That’s quite a story. I don’t know anyone like that.”
“These women were being transported to the federal penitentiary at the time of the crash. Two guards and the driver were injured, so it wasn’t no accident. We’re considering them extremely dangerous. If you see these women or suspect they’re in the area, call me. Here’s my card.”
Aiden looked at the card as he took it from the man and nodded. “I’ll do that.”
The cop started to leave, then turned around. “You live here alone?”
“Uh.” He nervously scratched his temple. “Actually no. I live here with my wife.”
“I’d like to speak to her too.”
