Aww what a sweet scene. I really like the direction this seems to be going in.

I'm glad Hope is healing and was able to get of bed with Aiden's help.

Chapter 16b
As they reached the bed, he left her side and stood in front of her again to balance her. Her knees began to buckle and she reached for his shoulders. He grabbed her waist.
Looking into her eyes, he said, “You’re okay, Hope. I won’t let you fall.”
“Thank you,” she whispered, meeting his gaze.
“Remember the night of the benefit?” he asked.
“Why would you bring that up at a time like this?”
“Because, holding you like this … all we need is the minuet waltz playing in the background.”
She laughed a little. “That was some night.”
“One I’ll never forget,” he said without breaking his gaze. “It was a turning point in my life, the start of a beautiful love affair, as I recall.”
“Aiden—” She wanted to look away but couldn’t.
He leaned closer, keeping his eyes on her lips. He was about to kiss her when her knees buckled again. He caught her and helped her into bed. Taking a deep breath, he asked, “Anything else I can get you?”
“No. Thank you. I have everything I need.”
He started to leave, and she said, “Do you have to go? I mean, we can talk for a while, if you want … unless you have something else you need to do?”
He shook his head slowly and pulled up a chair. “There’s nowhere I’d rather be.”

Hope is vulnerable. I don't want her to end up in yet another situation she regrets later.

Chapter 17a
It was late afternoon when Hope heard the clatter of pots and pans coming from another room. She smelled something cooking, although she couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Hoisting herself out of bed, she put on her shoes and held onto the walls as she slowly made her way down the hall to a part of the house she hadn’t seen yet.
Aiden was at the stove in the kitchen, his back toward her. The kitchen walls were lined with ivory colored wallpaper that had graphics of teapots and teacups in hues of red and gold. The table and chairs were country cottage style. It reminded her a lot of the kitchen in the Horton Cabin on Smith Island. “Wow, this is something.”
Aiden whirled around. “I didn’t hear you come in.” He automatically took a step closer. “Need help?”
“No, I’m good.” She grasped the back of a kitchen chair for support. “I smelled something cooking.”
“Yeah.” He glanced toward the stove. “I’m making us salmon with English peas and roasted fingerling potatoes. You said you want solid food so—. Think you can handle this?”
Hope’s eyes went wide. “Eating it or cooking?”
“Eating, of course.” He smiled broadly. “I wouldn’t dream of letting you cook.”
“Hey,” she shot back good-naturedly, reacting to his joke. “You always were the better cook between the two of us, but it’s not hard to best me when it comes to cooking.”
“Gin rummy also.”
Hope laughed and slowly took a seat at the table. “This is nice. Cozy.”
“Place came furnished. It’s not exactly my taste, but it’ll do.”
“Not manly enough?”
“Something like that.”
“Where’d all this food come from? I didn’t see you go out shopping. Is there even a grocery store around here?”
“Came from my computer,” he said. Hope cocked her head in confusion. “The closest supermarket is about 20 miles away, so mail order is my best friend,” he explained. “I order food from Whole Foods through Amazon, and my meals from one of those meal-kit services. This meal right here is from Blue Apron. It’s pricey, but it’s worth it.”
“Speaking of pricey, if you’re not working anymore, how do you um….Never mind. It’s none of my business.”

This is so much better than the similar situation with Ciara and Ben on the show.

I hope Aiden’s answer doesn’t involve anything shady...
Will there be previews, boss?
