from daytime royalty daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8583806/1/#newSOW: Maggie Accepts Victor's ProposalAfter Maggie says yes to Victor's marriage proposal, she begins planning her wedding. But first, Victor is left hanging about whether or not Maggie will say yes. "She didn't get a chance to answer because all of a sudden there was this big upheaval with John's arrest," explains Suzanne Rogers. With Victor's blessing, Maggie goes to be with her friends and family as they react to the news about John. "Maggie doesn't tell anyone about the ring," previews Rogers. "She's moved it aside. Maggie has been in this family that she has loved and cherished. That doesn't go away just because you happen to fall in love with someone else." Later, when Maggie returns to the Kirakis mansion, Victor mentions that she hasn't given him an answer. Maggie responds that she'd love to be his wife. Looking back on Victor and Maggie's long courtship, Rogers notes, "You have to look at the dynamics of these two characters. Victor is a strong, powerful man, one of the wealthiest men in Salem, and here is this lovely woman who was married for years to a man that she loved dearly. So for these two unlikely people to come together, there had to be a lot of soul-searching on both sides. That's why it has taken so long to work out." Maggie shares her joyful news with Melanie and Daniel, who are thrilled for her. Maggie asks Melanie if she'll be her maid of honor. Melanie answers yes, elated to be a part of Maggie's wedding. Meanwhile, Rogers has no worries that Maggie and Victor will settle into a boring married life, thanks to a preview provided by Head Writers Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas, Jr. that a secret will impact their relationship. "It was thrilling to hear!" smiles Rogers. "I'm an actress, so I want to work. You always want to something that is interesting, exciting and wonderful. So to hear that there is a secret runs the gamut. It's a lovely rainbow of emotions."

All of this sounds promising.I'm glad they aren't going to write them as a boring couple after they're married.Kudos to these writers for understanding that married shouldn't equate to boring.
