from daytime royalty daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8583802/1/SOD: John in Danger!; 10/11 Issue John's arrest sends his family into a tailspin, with Carrie and Sami taking opposing sides on the issue of his innocence. "Carrie believes in John," explains Drake Hogestyn (John). "Sami, on the other hand, is like, 'Well, John has been kind of a wacko over the years, a man of multiple personalities and identities, so he is probably capable of almost anything.'" The case is severely sensitive for Carrie, who is angry that Austin didn't warn her that John's arrest was imminent. Hogestyn points out, "Austin is on the prosecuting team." Later, Austin confides to Kate that there is a possibility he may have to testify against John. Meanwhile, Sami's hubby, Rafe, has faith in John. "Rafe knows that John is innately a good guy," voices Hogestyn. "Rafe knows there is something fishy in Salem, so he's trying to help out and prove John's innocence." John's embezzlement charges have practically the entire town outraged. "Thousands of people have been affected," notes Hogestyn. "Their pension plans have dissolved in thin air and they hold John responsible." Shortly after John is booked, he's jailed and placed with the general population. The guards' anger bubbles over and they exact their own unique revenge against John. "At two o'clock in the morning, there is a surprise exercise break," previews Hogestyn. "John is ushered into the prison yard and he gets worked over pretty good. John is equipped to take care of himself, but he's not being the John Black we're used to seeing. He's still recovering from the episode with the hypodermic needle in the spine. So, at this stage, John's not really safe." The next morning, Marlena visits John and is horrified that he was severely beaten. John assures Marlena that he's fine and is looking forward to his bail being posted. "The story being told is that two is stronger than one," offers Hogestyn. "Right now, Marlena has more belief in John than he has in himself." The couple is hit with disappointing news when it is revealed that John's assets have been frozen. Roman explains that John will have to remain in custody. More bad news arrives when John's attorney jumps ship. "Something's not right," asserts Hogestyn. "This is almost too perfect of a plan. Every time you turn a corner, the tracks are covered." Carrie steps forward and volunteers to defend John. But is John too proud to accept Carrie's help?

OOoo sounds interesting. hate that he gets beaten though. Hopefully his stint in prison isn't as dragged out at Hope's and he isn't beaten with oranges at Christmas for goodness sakes.
Thanks for posting!

I'm not a fan of John and Marlena, but this does sound interesting as it involves more than them.

I'm not overly exctied about seeing The Eyebrow too much on screen, but this does sound like a good, multi-layered story, and THAT is exciting. One question though: How does Rafe (of all people) just KNOW that John is a good guy? Because Rafe is the NuNuJohn? And they have so much in common?

Either he or hope need to ditch the eyebrow. One of them is bad enough but now I have to go back to dealing with it from both? Argh!
Maybe the rock should visit Salem and knock the eyebrows right off their faces for stealing his signature "look" lol

I am really surprised that Sami has lost faith in John... She had finally accepted him & he even help support her, paid the rent on the condo. I guess the old mis-trusting Sami is back....
