facebook linkFall Preview from Soap Digest- September/October Ken Corday states that he feels it's the best story Days has had in a long time. Ron Carlivati calls it “Salem on steroids”. He lists the returns. Alison Sweeney as Sami, Chandler Massey, Eileen Davidson, and Kassie DePaiva as Eve. No character names are listed for Chandler or Eileen. There are also other returns that have not been leaked yet. Double Wedding: Everyone is feeling good about it, but Lucas is a monkey wrench. He resents Sonny moving on. An unexpected guest arrives, disrupting the wedding. The guest affects both couples but mostly Paul and Sonny. This unexpected wedding guest says something that impacts a lot of people who then end up drawn to Memphis, Tennessee. Those who are drawn to Memphis, “for one reason or another", include: Paul, Sonny, John, Marlena, Adrienne, Justin, Lucas, and Sami. Eric/Nicole/Brady: Nicole’s community service is ending, but Nicole wants to stay on. Brady assumes it's because of Eric and takes steps to keep them apart. What he does sets off a chain reaction which ends with Eric deciding to leave Salem. Nicole's reaction and what she does bring the situation to a head. While Nicole ponders whether Brady or Eric is the man for her, another man from her past crosses her thoughts, and not in a good way. Can she ever move on from what she's done to Deimos? Hattie & Bonnie: The walls are coming in on Hattie, but Bonnie pushes on. She needs something to get Victor to leave Maggie, and something juicy falls right into her lap. We see Adrienne at the prison from time to time, and she is not having much luck getting anyone to believe she is not Bonnie Lockhart. She finally finds someone who can help. Bonnie ruins lives. She is out for revenge against Maggie, and she's (as Adrienne) set on doing it by blackmailing Victor. Victor will prove he still has a few tricks up his sleeve. As Adrienne tries her hardest to get out of prison, Lucas continues to spiral out of control. Sami’s Return: Sami's arrival shakes things up and she is in the thick of things right from the start. Will's return is connected to Sami’s return. She returns with a drive. Sami has her finger in a lot of pots because they wanted her time back to impact multiple stories. Salem PD Shake Up: After Raines is exposed, Abe suggests both Rafe and Hope for the commissioner spot. This tests their relationship. Ali/Gabi: Eli makes changes professionally and personally. He looks for another job and also decides he would like a second chance with Gabi. Gabi is important and they wanted her to take the high road regarding what happened with Chad, and not be bitter. JJ: JJ has a fall story where he's living out every cop's worst nightmare. It polarizes the town and has a ripple effect. This story involves several main characters. Theo/Claire/Tripp: Theo may have dumped Claire, but that doesn't mean he likes the fact that Tripp is the one trying to mend her broken heart. Tripp needs to be integrated with the teens. They're a little like Three's Company. He has a crush on Claire, which is what gets to Theo. Steve/Kayla: Ron states that it is hard to find a more solid couple in daytime. Down the line, Tripp will be tested in a way to earn his place back in Kayla’s graces. Tripp needs to be redeemed. Other Salemites: Eve returns and shakes up the Kiriakis family. She will have a love story with someone on canvas already. Sparks ignite between Kate and Andre, but he wants her job so there will be corporate intrigue. It will always come back to the personal dynamic between them.

Hm. A lot of this stuff worries me. I'm so not into the Eric and Nicole thing and I'm heartbroken that they ended Eric and Jen for this. I can't believe they're dragging out the doppelgänger story so long. I suppose it might be good drama but I'm not looking forward to watching Lucas and Maggie suffer so much. I liked Gabi and Eli together but I'm surprised, I really thought they were reuniting JJ with Gabi. Looking forward to Eve's return and betting she connects with Justin. Biggest disappointments- How on earth could Hope or Rafe be considered as police commissioners with their histories? What a joke! WTH happens to JJ? Does he kills someone? No Jen? No Chloe? Thanks for posting sportsgirl.

A lot of this sounds really good and soapy.
I can't get into Nicole's love triangle. She's not going to get together with either of them for long unless one of them is exiting Salem.

Eve having a love story with someone already on canvas makes me think maybe Brady? They had kind of a connection when she was helping take care of Tate.
Also, the person that shows up at the double wedding.... I'm assuming Will?
Thanks for posting, sportsgirl !

No Jen? No Chloe? No Jen, no Chloe, no Roman, no Lani. That last one is fine by me. Maybe Lani disappears and JJ gets blamed. Or maybe she gets shot when they're on duty together. That is probably the worst nightmare for most cops — having their partner die while on duty together. Thanks for posting, sportsgirl .
