After the writer's conference I attended, I decided to re-do my author website. (I am still also going to create a post here about what I learned about marketing sometime this week. Now that I've finished my website I finally have the time to do it!) I'd love to get some feedback on my site design and content. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site. www.jackaori.com

I love the layout of your website, heroicmuse! It looks great! I also love all of the music selections you chose, especially the Julian Lennon one! I'll need to explore it more to go into more detail, but from what I've seen, it looks awesome!

Your website looks good heroicmuse. It's easy to navigate and covers a variety of topics.

Your website captured my attention right away, heroicmuse. I especially like the quote about butterflies on your homepage since I can really relate to it. You also caught my interest with your novel summaries. Did you self-publish them, or are they through a regular publisher? I am interested to hear what you learned about marketing. That is the thing I am having the most trouble with as a writer. It's been hard for me to get people interested beyond hitting the like button on facebook.

I'm still working on my novels so they're not published yet (that's why I don't have purchase info on them yet). But I'm sort of leaning towards self-publishing, because traditional publishing is full of stories of "my first five novels got rejected by every major publisher before the sixth one became a bestseller" and I don't really feel like wasting time with all that when I know I have quality stories people will want to read! Plus I do like the idea of having creative control over the whole process. Marketing is my weak area too. I'll write up a post about what I learned about marketing sometime within the next few days and hopefully it will be helpful to both of us '
