I wonder if the guests will take the Minister's words to heart. This is a lovely beginning to the ceremony.

Chapter 27c
“Philip and Chloe have prepared vows they would like to recite,” the minister told the guests. “Chloe, please go ahead.”
Facing Philip, Chloe exhaled. “What took us so long,” she said on a laugh. Taking Philip’s hands, she looked down at their joined hands and said, “You make me so happy. You always have.” She looked up into his eyes. “In case you didn’t know it, I adore you, Philip Kiriakis. Even after all this time, you can still make my heart skip a beat, and there’s nothing I want more than to make you as happy as you make me.” She looked upward for a moment. “For as long as I can remember, it’s been Philip and Chloe and Chloe and Philip.” She looked into his eyes again. “It’s been you and me since the beginning of time, and now, now it will be you and me until the end of time, the way it was always meant to be.” She pressed her lips together as a tear rolled down her cheek. “Thank you for never giving up on us.”
“I told you I’d never give up,” Philip told her before bringing her hands to his lips. “This is the moment I’ve been waiting for half my life. And yet, while I’ve been waiting, there’ve been a million other moments, and every moment I’ve spent with you feels like a gift, a gift I thank God for every day.” He saw she was fighting back tears, so he squeezed her hands. “I’ve loved you since the beginning of time too, Chloe Lane, and I will be the one who loves you until the end of time.” They smiled warmly at each other.
The Minister let a moment go by in silence before he said, “Now for the Question of Intent. Chloe, will you have this man to be your husband, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?”

Looking forward to the rest of the wedding.
These vows felt like an end to this story in some ways. Looking forward to what else is to come.

Whew. Just got caught up on this. Parker is such a doll.
Nicole cracks me up. Leave it to her to state the obvious and not beat around the bush about it.
I hope that Chloe really listens to the ministers words and remembers them in the future. And I know this is bad, but when the minister said the part about forsaking all others and being faithful I had to laugh. After 3 marriages where 2 of them ended because of cheating, that just seemed like a tongue in cheek moment for me.

Since I didn't post previews this weekend, I'll make up for it now.
Remember that song Philip and Chloe are planning to sing? Tune in Wednesday to hear it!

Chapter 27d
“Chloe, will you have this man to be your husband, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?”
“I will,” Chloe said, without taking her eyes off Philip.
“Philip, will you have this woman to be your wife, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?”
“I will.”
A violinist on the balcony level of the chapel began to play.
Philip: I, Philip, take thee, Chloe . . . Chloe: I, Chloe, take thee, Philip . . . Philip: For richer, for poorer . . . Chloe: In sickness and in health . . . Philip: To love and to honor . . . Chloe: To hold and to keep . . . Philip: From each sun to each moon . . . Chloe: From tomorrow to tomorrow . . . Philip: From now to forever . . . Chloe: Till death do us part.
Philip and Chloe took the wedding rings from the minister.
Philip: With this ring, I thee wed. Chloe: With this ring, I thee wed.
Readers, please click here to listen to the song Philip and Chloe chose to sing to one another as you read the following.
Philip sings… Make of our hands one hand, Make of our hearts one heart, Make of our vows one last vow, Only death will part us now.
Chloe sings… Make of our lives one life, Day after day, one life
Both sing… Now it begins, now we start One hand, one heart; Even death won't part us now.
One Hand One Heart from West Side Story Music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
