I can totally see the show bringing Nathan back to pair with Melanie. It is the only way the show can make her a Horton and it seems that is really their goal, given her relationship with Maggie.

Wow. Does he ever resemble mark hapka. Unreal
I'm fine with Nathan returning. Even if it was mark hapka in the role. I just think that the character of Nathan needed better writing.

I was really surprised that Nathan didn't get better writing his first go around. After all the character of Nathan was Dena's creation, and we all know that Dena loved writing for her creations: Melanie, Daniel, Rafe. So I am surprised Nathan was the exception. |

Nathan was not written well at all. He was definitely the exception to DH's rule. You know what now that I think about hit none of the characters Dena created for Melanie were never really written for like Nathan and also Dario. She is also did not write that much for Philip when he got paired with Melanie. I mean he definately go more than either Nathan or Dario, but he screne time definately go reduced. He was not leading a story like he did in 2008 and 2009. |

For a while there,it looked like Philip had all but disappeared from the show he was getting so little airtime near the end of Philip's run.JKJ is such a huge asset to the show,yet in the end he was barely being used.That wasn't fair to JKJ or the fans who had invested so much in his character.

If Nathan comes back (no matter who is in the role), the writers MUST address who his father is if they expect me to take him seriously.
I doubt the Nathan that returns would have much in common with the Nathan that left though. He would still be a doctor and he'd still be a Horton. But other than that, they could re-write him any way they choose.

The one reason the new writers would be able to get away with just about anything is really because Dena gave us NOTHING,lol.
