According to soaps.sheknows.com, Gabrielle Haugh (Jade) is leaving in mid-July.
About time for me personally.

Thanks emanonnamow. I heard about this last week but couldn't find a source. I hope the character is gone with the actress. She was a terrible actress, in line with Joey and Ciara with her monotone delivery, and her look got mousier every day. I guess that part was intentional. |

Thanks emanonnamow! Just made my day! I can't stand Jade or the actress. I swear, some of these teens have to be kin to some pretty high up people to have been on the show this long with what little talent they have.

I don't like the character so I'm glad she's leaving but I honestly didn't mind this actress that much. I do think wardrobe did not do her any favors. She's pale and thin and then they put her in these drab, ugly clothes that end up leaving her looking washed out and kind of trashy. Maybe that was intentional.
Anyway, I'm just tired of most of this teen scene so I'm glad to see this exit.
Now if we could only replace the actress playing Lani. I think she could be a good character but I can't get behind that robotic acting.

Good news!! I'm tired of Jade. I'm guessing that Tripp will find out that Kayla didn't kill Ava and realize Jade was playing him to get rid of Kayla.

They need non related teens for this group to have love interests but they wrote jade so terrible I don't think she can be redeemed

This group of teens and their storylines are a FAIL. They weren't even teen stories, just regular storylines given to the teenagers. Sadly, they have never been able to replicate the glory days of the Last Blast teens.

I didn't mind the actress, but the character was horrible. She was so clingy and just plain mean. I am okay with a change to the teen scene.

I really preferred the original Jade. I wish that she would have been able to stay, but I think she left to go to college.

There was no reason to recast Jade after the original actress left. She really hasn't done anything since whine about how Joey is supposed to love her and cause trouble for Joey's family since she lost her baby. The only storyline of hers that I liked was how she donated part of her liver to her father. I thought that actually had some substance to it.
