WOW!! I feel bad losing such a great actor and talent, but happy to see Deimos go bye bye!!

PLEASE tell me that this does not mean that we have to deal with the Hernandez clan being the villains now. I'm not sure I can stomach much more Eduardo and Dario.
Deimos drives me nuts - especially where Nicole is concerned - but he plays the villain role perfectly.

Vincent Irizarry is a great actor, but he was given horrible material and there was nothing redeemable or even interesting about Deimos. Plus Victor and Nicole's relationships with Deimos made no sense. I kind of feel the actor was a victim of poor writing and that they had to cut him loose because that bad writing was dragging the show down and there was no way to fix his character other than removing him.
I hope Dario is the next to go. Eduardo is also a waste of a good actor and I'd hate to see A Martinez go just like I hate to see Irizarry go but again the character may be unsalvagable.

Wow! I'm very surprised. I thought he was probably going to be Days' new big villain since Stefano is gone and Victor is a shell of his old self. Interesting.
I think he makes a good villain (that's why I hate Deimos, he's fun to hate). The actor is very talented too. Wonder if he's the first big victim of the new writers then. Makes me very curious about where they plan on taking things. At least I know I won't have to watch Nicole fawn all over him.

In recent years none of the writers seem to be able to write a villain long term. What happened to creating and writing for characters like Stefano and Victor in their heyday? They bring on an actor to play a villain for 6 months to a year and then get rid of them. They get rid of the actors who can actually act and keep the much less talented actors.
I think this exit was in the works before the new writing team. There have been rumors for a couple months that a veteran actor who'd joined Days in the past year or two was leaving.

Plus his tweets always seem to be saying that this role was not long term, thinking back on this. Now they can get rid of the piano in the K-Mansion.

I will miss him. He had more stage presence than most and even when I didn't like Deimos, I liked watching Irizarry. Thanks for the info sportsgirl.
