Dare I hope that the new headwriter will dump the Hope and Rafe romance and back burner both characters.

Dare I hope that the new headwriter will dump the Hope and Rafe romance and back burner both characters. A lot of people are hoping that. His Twitter feed is full of people asking for it. So I guess we'll see.

I'm hoping he gets rid of most of the teens as well.

I may be in the minority here. But right now I really don't think that the show is down in the alley horrible under Dena.I think Dena is at least making an effort to write storylines for the vets, friendships and families are interacting, some effort is being put into the Prague set to make it look different etc . The things that I didn't like is that she got rid of philip and there was no love story for phloe. Shelle needs to be brought back as well. I don't know how things will look 5 mths from now. But most of all, all I want is a writer who would see the potential of phloe and write a good love story for phloe with adult issues.

I'm not a fan of Dena's brand of storytelling, and I liked what Ron did for GH for the 50th.
I know he loves Kassie - so I expect Eve will return if Kassie is well enough.
I don't think Rope is successful, and I expect it will end as well.
I just hope that Ron will bring some lightness and goodness to the canvas, and I hope he will bring back some of the characters Josh and Dena either destroyed or killed like Aiden, Paige and especially Will.
I also would wish for a Bo return, if the show is not going to continue. I only say that because I doubt PR would return long term.

I think last year was just a way to politically tank the show. The viewership went way down, and I'm not surprised the show is on the chopping block. Such a shame! I hope more viewers will be grabbed with gripping stories and couples we can root for, and not more writing that puts the show on the shelf for good. Cautiously optimistic?

I am not familiar with Ron Carlivati's work but someone on twitter said he was good to General Hospital's vets which is good news for me. He also head wrote for One life to live prior to even general hospital. And while I don't always like his story line, he is a decent writers. But for me on GH it had more to do with the character I preferred already to see less of... on Days there are particularly characters I dislike to the point that need to go away so to speak. Toned down sure but on General hospital is on the Sonny Corinthos show so RC didn't do well toning him down but that way the choice of the writer. But the actual material it self was decent and watchable and actual storylines.
