Hello fellow readers and writers. Though my fanfiction here is of course based on Days of Our Lives, I do, from time to time, create my own characters, or expand on characters that had minimal screentime on the real show. In this thread, I will keep an (alphabetical) list of new or greatly expanded characters that have appeared in my current ongoing story arc, which began in Fighting for Love, continued in Loves Labours, and is going on right now in The Melaswen Paradox, and will be for the foreseeable future. If a new character appears, I will add them to the list.
Beatrix "Trix" Alamain - First appearing in The Melaswen Paradox, Trix is the ternage daughter of Nicholas Alamain. She comes from Melbourne, VIC, Australia, amd doesn't have the best relationship with her father. Alex - First appearing in Loves Labours, Alex is a student at Salem High. He is a friend to Claire, Ciara, Theo and Chase, and is dating Henri. He is also a member of the theatre group with Henri, Jade, Claire, Joey and Chase. Mr. Canning - First appearing in The Melaswen Paradox, Mr. Canning is a teacher at Salem High. He originally comes from Australia, and will be leading a summer trip there later in the year. Dean Faulkner - First appearing in Loves Labours, Dean Faulkner is one of the Deans at Salem High. Announced the winner of the 2016 Last Blast Dance Competition. Dr. Adelaide "Addie" Horton - First appearing in Fighting for Love, Addie is the 30 year old daughter of Tommy Horton. She, her father, and Scotty Banning come to Salem at Victor's request so that they can see if they are able to do anything to help Bo after it is discovered that he has a brain tumor. Addie is then hired as a doctor at Salem University Hospital. Richard Kelly - First appearing in The Melaswen Paradox, Richard is a pirate. He attempts to steal the valuables of everybody on board the S.S. Bo Brady. He dies after he is thrown overboard by Tony DiMera. Gregor Kidd - First appearing in The Melaswen Paradox, Gregor is a pirate. He attempts to steal the valuables of everybody on board the S.S. Bo Brady. He later declares mutiny against his fellow pirates and dies when he is forced to walk the plank. Nina - First appearing in Loves Labours, Nina is a student at Salem High, and a friend of Ciara, Theo, Chase and Claire. She is on the student council, and was in charge of the 2016 Last Blast Dance music playlist. She is also in the theatre group with Jade, Claire, Joey and Chase. Mrs. Shuler - First appearing in Loves Labours, Mrs. Shuler is the theatre teacher. She is kind, but can be stern, and takes no nonsense from her students. Silver - First appearing in The Melaswen Paradox, Silver is a student at Salem Junior High, and a friend of Sydney. She originally lived in Alaska, and just recently moved to Salem. Eirnin Ó Faoláin "Ernan Whelan" - First appearing in Loves Labours, Ernan is the heir to an Irish crime syndicate, the Clan Ó Faoláin (Irish Gaelic for the Whelan Family). He and his daughter come to Salem with Peter Blake, who is posing as Ernan's younger brother. Ernan tries to intimidate André DiMera, but fails miserably. He also tries to start up a rivalry with the DiMera family, until he is killed by Peter. Nollaig Ó Faoláin "Noelle Whelan" - First appearing in Loves Labours, Noelle is the daughter of Irish crime syndicate leader Ernan Whelan. She is around the same age as Ciara, Claire and Chase, and went to Salem High with them. After her father's death, Noelle disappeared.
Sister Mary Moira Banks - First seen in the 1990s helping her identical quadruplet sister Susan, Sister Mary Moira returns to Salem when she joins the convent at St. Luke's. She currently helps Father Louis in various ways around the church. Thomas Banks - First seen in the 1990s helping his identical quadruplet sister, Susan, Thomas is a gangster. Susan had previously come to him to help her get her baby back after Kristen stole it, but Sister Mary Moira stopped Thomas before he could do anything sinful to Kristen. Thomas returns to Salem to find E.J., who, according to him, is not dead. Aodh Ó Faoláin "Hugh Whelan"/Peter Blake - Peter returns to Salem in Loves Labours under the guise of an Irishman named Aodh (Irish Gaelic for Hugh). As Hugh, Peter claims that he is the younger brother of an Irish crime syndicate the Clan Ó Faoláin (the Whelan Family). He kills the actual son of the crime syndicate before revealing himself. Peter later died when André blew up Melaswen. Dirk - Only seen a handful of times on the show, Dirk returns in The Melaswen Paradox as the father of Jade's baby. It is shown that he has very little interest in Jade at all, and that he and Joey are bitter rivals. For Halloween 2016, he dressed as a clown and tried to scare Chase, Ciara and Claire. He later tried to beat up Chase, but was caught by Mr. Woods. Andrew Donovan - Last seen as a young child on the show, Andrew Donovan is the eldest child, and only son, of Shane and Kimberly. Andrew returns in Fighting for Love when Aiden is accused of being the Necktie Killer, and helps prove that he is innocent. He later is revealed as a business partner of Aiden's at the new law firm they are putting together: the Law Offices of Jennings and Donovan (also known as J & D Law). Pete Kelly/Erebus - Last seen as a young child, Erebus is the twin son of Orpheus. He returns in The Melaswen Paradox, under the guise of a pirate named Pete Kelly. As a pirate, he attempts to steal the valuables of everybody on board the S.S. Bo Brady. Upon arrival in Salem, he and his sister, Nyx, abandon their pirate disguises and begin plotting how to avenge their father's death. Erebus begins counselling sessions with Marlena to get information out of her. Alexander Kiriakis - Last seen as a young child on the show, Alexander Kiriakis is the son of Justin Kiriakis and Angelica Deveraux. He returns in The Melaswen Paradox as the captain of the S.S. Bo Brady. He and Steve help everyone get off of Melaswen. Deimos Kiriakis - The version of Deimos seen in this story is an amalgamation of Xander and Deimos from the show proper. He has elements of both character's backstory. Alexandros Deimos Kiriakis, though he prefers to go by his middle name, Deimos, is currently serving time in a maximum security prison in Greece for smuggling illegal blood diamonds and murdering his wife. Titus Kiriakis - Referred to, but never actually seen on the show proper, he has been brought to life in this story. Here, Titus is Victor's younger brother and the father of Deimos. He runs the Greek division of Titan Industries, which he believes should be the head division. It is implied, by Victor at least, that he is the one responsible for Deimos getting thrown in prison. Tyler "T.K." Kiriakis - First appearing in The Melaswen Paradox, T.K. is a student at Salem Junior High. Because they needed a younger student to play the role, Mrs. Shuler was able to get him to play Tiny Tim Crachit in Salem High's production of A Christmas Carol. He is later revealed to be the long lost son of Philip Kiriakis and Mimi Lockhart, Tyler. Maria Badger/Nyx - Last seen as a young child, Nyx is the twin daughter of Orpheus. She returns in The Melaswen Paradox, under the guise of a pirate captain named Maria Badger. As a pirate, she holds Hope Brady hostage and attempts to steal the valuables of everybody on board the S.S. Bo Brady. Upon arrival in Salem, she and her brother, Erebus, abandon their pirate disguises and begin plotting how to avenge their father's death. Nyx gets a job as a school teacher so that she can watch the children, particularly Claire, whom she has shown interest in.
Andrea Somers - Andrea first appeared in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, where she used her daughter, Willow, and her uncanny resemblance to a deceased wife of the town lawyer on that show to steal a large sum of money. She returns in The Melaswen Paradox, where it is revealed that Trix Alamain is also her daughter, with whom she does not always see eye-to-eye.
Thanks André DiMera, this is great. But wasn't there a character named Silver in one of your early train stories? Murder on a Train or something like that? I understand it may be a different character, but the name rings a bell (Silver bells? Sorry ).

It does, Kpatch, and she is named after said character. The Silver you're thinking of was from a story called "Murder and Trains", which was written on a different forum that I no longer visit. But, I recently thought about that character, and named this one after the first one.
