I thought it would be fun to post videos of our favorite holiday music.
This one has been playing in my mind for days. It's so much better than the Johnny Cash version. But this year it's so much more poignant because both singers are now deceased. Made me cry when I listened to it.
Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth by Bing Crosby and David Bowie
There will be more, but I'll start with this one.

I love so many Christmas songs but the other day I heard Away in a Manger by Nat King Cole and it was so sweet and beautiful. I loved it. It's one that you don't hear often and I guess that makes it a bit special.

Country music alert!!! LOL
there are soooo many that I love, but I just had to post these. There is a family here that has put out their own gospel Christmas CD. I don't normally listen to a lot of gospel music but this family did a fantastic job on writing and performing these songs. I wish I had a way to upload a couple of songs so y'all could hear them.
Carrie Underwood does a FANTASTIC job in Do You Hear What I Hear
Love the Christmas Duets between Kenny Rodgers and Dolly Parton. Almost anything by Alvin and the Chipmunks. LOL The other "kid" favorites - I'm Getting Nothing for Chirstmas by The Peter Pan Singers, I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas by Gayla Peevey.
Then Kenny & Wynonna in Mary did you know
Alabama's Christmas in Dixie
For a little comedy, there's Ray Steven's Santa Clause is Watching You
And I just heard a new one this morning that I fell in love with.

And if you like Jeff Dunham and Achmed, then you have to have Jingle Bombs. LOL
There is some language and this video is not the best one that I could find, but it has less language than the other videos and goes straight to the song.

mae00 , I love Jeff Dunham! Here's another favorite. I think I mention this every year. This is one of my all-time favorite memories from Days of Our Lives. It’s when baby Belle was kidnapped (by Sami). Sami wanted to protect Roman from finding out that Belle was actually John’s daughter, not his. Sami tried to sell the baby. John and Kristen went undercover and found Belle. The YouTube clip (sorry -- not great quality, but you’ll get the gist) takes place on Christmas Eve when Marlena, Roman, and their friends were in church, praying for Belle’s return. Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna) is singing O Holy Night (which, incidentally, became my favorite holiday song because of this scene). I think this is one of the most perfect, well-defined, and most satisfying climaxes of a storyline ever. The scene was choreographed to the music in perfect unison. It still gives me the chills. Get out your hankies and enjoy! O Holy Night

Hallelujah sung by Kaylee Rogers. Kaylee is autistic and was very shy when she started school. Her teachers noticed that she liked to sing so they encouraged her talent.

On the way in, I heard Royal Guardsmen, Snoppy and The Red Baron. Before that Paul McCartney, Simply Christmas Time. Plus I heard Linus and Lucy, which isn't even a Christmas song...........but Schroeder did a great job!

A Chanukah song rather than a Christmas song but I play this every year and love its message.
And my favorite Christmas song:
Also I always play this on Christmas:

I have several favorites! I love this time of year! I'll try to trim my list of favorites down to five (and maybe put up more later).
The 12 Days of Christmas - Straight No Chaser A rather different version of the song than normal. Take a listen, and you'll see why.
Hard Candy Christmas - Dolly Parton and the Cast of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas I know it's kind of a sad song, but there's also a bit of hope in it. And I love the melody.
A Soldier's Silent Night - Father Ted Berndt/Stille Nacht - Mannheim Steamroller Kind of a tie for this position. The poem "A Soldier's Silent Night" is beautiful! And the music behind it, Mannheim Steamroller's version of "Silent Night" is my favorite version of the song!
Last Christmas - Wham! I love to sing along to this song when it comes on the radio. It's so catchy! And, it's even more poignant now, given what happened this afternoon...
Same Old Lang Syne - Dan Fogelberg My all-time favorite Christmas song! I absolutely love this one! I know all the words, and always sing along to it! It's just beautiful!
