Well, tomorrow my sister and I along with our kids are headed to my dad's house for a little while. Then Friday, we will be with my mom & stepdad at my grandma's house. We are supposed to have some additional friends join us. I really hope they show up. All of them need some time away from their home after everything that they have been through the last several months. Not sure if I will do anything with my ex in-laws this year. AT some point, we usually do something for the holidays together.
our meals have definitely headed the less traditional route over the last several years. I think we are doing hamburger helper and fried taters at my dad's. that was our Wednesday night routine when we were growing up after my parents divorced. Not sure what all we are having Friday. I have to work 1/2 the day but from what little I've heard, it's going to be a feast.

My parents and I are hosting Thanksgiving this year. My three brothers and their families are coming.

I'm just going over to my mom's and my brother and sister will be there. Made the cranberry sauce earlier today and I'll make the green bean casserole tomorrow. That's all I really have to do.

No odds and ends for me. I kind of miss it. But not sure if I can handle the chaos anymore. I do miss the mass gathering of family. *sigh*

Another T-Day in the books, I hope everyone enjoyed theirs, I did. Met some new people, learned some new things. Some happy, but mostly sad and one guy who really pissed me off. Pissed me off to the highest point of pisstivity, pissed off! Our feast was fabulous, I made homemade Tin Roof ice cream for desert, bad mistake. I couldn't stop eating it, I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital and have my stomach pumped. I felt like Woody Allen in Sleeper, except the Orb was ice cream. And no I did not try and make-out with one of the Blue-Hairs that was there. Kpatch how was the Chocolate Lasagna? It looked great and I am going to try it and soon, just need to wait for my blood sugar levels to correct itself. fluffysmom your Friday luncheon inspired me to make lasagna last night. Been sitting in the fridge all night, this morning I am going to carve out a big chunk and wash it down with a tall glass of OJ. |

Kpatch how was the Chocolate Lasagna? Been sitting in the fridge all night, this morning I am going to carve out a big chunk and wash it down with a tall glass of OJ. I will be honest Ted Bell . The chocolate lasagna looked nice but it was nothing special. It was sweet but not very chocolatey. I would not make it again and will probably dump the leftovers. We ended up with five desserts, like a Viennese table.  Ron made an apple pie and a pumpkin pie. I made the chocolate lasagna. One guest made a trifle, and another brought a butterscotch pie from an eatery in Tampa. Crazy plenty! SaveSaveSaveSave |
