Ok, if John1 is really Alex North & John2 is really Roman, then where is the real John? I am so confused  and now we also have 3 Marlena's.. at least we know who they each are, at least I hope we do!! I get the feeling am I going to really enjoy this one!! |

Okay, let me see if I can explain it a bit:
There is no John Black. John Black never existed. That was just an assumed name that Roman Brady (Drake Hogestyn) took on after he lost his memories and (for other reasons that will be revealed later in this story) kept until now.
When Marlena returned to Salem many years ago (after her first 'death"), she came back with Roman Brady (Wayne Northrop). Now, for the purposes of my story, this was NOT Roman Brady that she came back with at all, it was, in fact, Alex North.
So, the REAL Roman Brady started off being played by Wayne Northrop and then by Drake Hogestyn, and has been played by Hoestyn ever since. Roman II has been played by Wayne Northrop. There is a Roman III, as well played by Josh Taylor, but we'll be getting to him later.

Chapter 3 PARK Paul and Taylor are walking around. PAUL: I just can't get over how beautiful you are, baby girl. TAYLOR: Um...thank you. Taylor was starting to get a little uncomfortable. PAUL: You know, it's too bad that I had to go away before you started maturing. Nicole and I had so much fun together when she was becoming a teenager. If I had stuck around a little longer, maybe you and I could've had some fun, too. Now, Taylor was really getting uncomfortable. Paul edged closer to Taylor. The two stopped walking. TAYLOR: Daddy...what are you doing? PAUL: Nothing, baby. I'm just looking at how gorgeous you are. Paul kissed his daughter. Taylor pushed him away. TAYLOR: What the hell are you doing? PAUL: Sorry about that, sweetheart. Daddy was just getting a little excited about being free and seeing you again. TONY: “Excited”? Tony DiMera walked up to Paul and Taylor. TONY: Is that the word you're using for it now, Mendez? TAYLOR: Daddy, what is he talking about. TONY: Oh, I'm talking about the truth. PAUL: Hey, man, I don't know what you're talking about. TONY: Oh, but I think you do. And very soon, your daughter shall know what I'm talking about, as well. PENTHOUSE MARLENA: No, it can't be. ROMAN: I'm afraid it was, Doc. The man you thought was me was actually Alex North. MARLENA: But...how? ROMAN: Ever since you came to Salem, he'd been watching you. He knew what I looked like before the accident, so he got plastic surgery to look like the original me, to try and fool everybody into thinking that I was an imposter. And, it worked for a while. On everyone except me... PARK – FLASHBACK
Roman is walking around with his hands around Alex
ALEX: Get your hands off of me!
Alex shakes himself free
ROMAN: All right. Take it easy. Now, what are you doing here?
ALEX: What do you think I'm doing here? I'm taking back what's rightfully mine!
ROMAN: She's not yours, Alex!
ALEX: Oh, is that so, John?
ROMAN: Yes it is. That's a fact. And soon, Marlena will know exactly who you are.
ALEX: I don't think she will.
ROMAN: And why is that?
ALEX: Because, if you tell her, I'll kill you.
ROMAN: Excuse me?
ALEX: No, I take that back. I'll kill her.
ROMAN: I don't think so.
Alex pulls out a gun and points it at Roman
ALEX: I'll do it. If you tell her the truth about me, then I will personally make sure that you watch your precious Marlena die a very, very painful death. And then, I'll kill you in the same excruciatingly painful way.
ROMAN: What do you want me to do?
ALEX: Good man. I want you to go back to your other persona. The persona of John Black. Then, I will take on your persona. The persona of Roman Brady. We will continue to be in these personas forever and ever until death do us part...PENTHOUSE MARLENA: So, you went along with him? ROMAN: Only to save you, Doc. I had lost you once, I didn't want to lose you again. So, I went along with the charade, only to protect you. Alex became Roman and I went back to being John. But, I didn't trust Alex. That's why I almost never left you two alone if I could help it. I may have been with Kristen, but I was always keeping an eye on Alex, to make sure he didn't hurt you. MARLENA: Well, that explains one Roman. But what about the man that claims to be Roman right now? Who is he? |
